Joe’s Crab Shack offers a variety of favorites from all parts of the sea and shore. From its extensive menu, guests can choose from buckets of seasonal seafood, fried shrimp platters and fish dishes, as well as options from the “mainland” that include steak, sandwiches, and chicken. Guests can indulge in over-sized and creative cocktails, such as the Shark Bite which is playfully garnished with a shark toy. Since its inception, Joe’s popularity has stemmed not only from its menu, but also its retail store. With various pieces of merchandise for purchase, including the ever-popular tie-dye T-shirt with the phrase “Peace, Love and Crabs,” Joe’s has become synonymous with the word “fun.”

Food and service were excellent! I had steamed snow crab and the wife had cold peel and eat shrimp! The fries were excellent and we had a side of hush puppies which were also excellent!

We sat down and ordered and it took 48 minutes to get our food, with only 3 other groups in the entire restaurant. Sooo sloooow

Our server was nice and the food was fine but everything else about our experience was awful. It took over an hour to get our food which was ridiculous since we were only a party of 3 and our upstairs section was practically empty. During our meal the music got so loud that you couldn't hear anything else and we thought it was a short lived joke until it stayed that loud for almost 10 minutes and was only turned down after multiple tables complained. The final failure occurred when we went to leave and found that the elevator we had used to come upstairs had been turned off. We tried to go back inside to ask for help but the door we just walked out of was locked! We were then forced to carry our two year old and his stroller down a flight of poorly lit stairs. I strongly recommend you avoid this restaurant if at all possible.

It was a great experience for me and my family, our waiter was wonderful I wish I would of asked her for her name. The wait time was not to bad for 10 ppl. I think that the amount of food received was good for what I paid. I would say to enhance the experience in my opinion would be to offer rolls and have butter automatically offered for the crab legs when it is ordered.
