Koa is an Asian fusion restaurant located in the Flatiron area of New York City. Modern meets classic in this restaurant, as the dramatic crystal chandeliers hang down over dark wooden tables and lighted walls. Tables are dressed simply with small, glowing candles and white napkins to add a clean appearance to the dining area. Relaxation is easy in this environment, making it a good place to meet up for a casual lunch or dinner or even a formal meeting with a business partner. Cuisine at Koa is mostly a combination of Chinese and Japanese dishes. Traditional ramen noodle soups are offered alongside various barbecues, vegetarian entrees and more. Popular choices of meals from Koa include the kale fried rice, vegetable sorda, yuzu crispy shrimp and the snow crab avocado rolls. The bar area serves international beers, wines and cocktails as well as genuine Japanese sake.

Massively overloaded serving staff did their best. Ramen was good, the rest fair to poor. Very noisy. Prices were ridiculous for the result, in particular an unremarkable ginger rice side at $15

The food was outstanding. The flavors amazing (and I've had a lot of ramen). It was the Thurs. before a holiday so it was unusually quiet (I'm guessing it's hoping around happy hour). Beautiful scene.

Used to love this spot and went for sate night all the tome. They had the most amazing lobster noodle soup dish. So sad it closed.

Food was very good, atmosphere was good, service could have been better, it was difficult to get the staff to pay attention to us despite being a largish group.

Koa is definitely an underrated gem in Flatiron District, and I'm glad they exist. I've frequented Koa over the last few years since they've been opened, and was surprised every time I'm there they don't have enough clientele considering how awesome their decor is and how delicious and fresh their cuisine is. I went back yesterday with my friend and we always raved how amazing Koa is. They're slowly receiving more customers which I'm happy for them. The place was very nice and had a cool vibe. The food left a lot to be desired. Ordered the crispy shrimp and it was so covered in sauce it wasn't even crispy. Also the sea bass was super bland... The atmosphere was nice but won't be back for the food.

went here for a business lunch based on the reviews online. Was not all that impressed with the food which was average at best. The service however was very good and the place is large and well decorated. Maybe it's better at the bar at night.
