La Foret offers fine French dining in an old country setting. We are proudly now offering outdoor dining!!!The historically significant building rests next to a quietly meandering stream in the verdant foothills of New Almaden. Picture windows surrounding the entire dining area allow you to fully enjoy the quietly beautiful surroundings during your meal. Specializing in fine French cuisine, La Foret has earned its place among the area's finest restaurants and in fact has been listed among the 50 best French restaurants in the United States.

La Foret ha an extensive wine list, which includes French and Napa Valley selections. It offers a tasting menu and brunch on Sundays.

This restaurant has private rooms for catering banquet-style private events. It also hosts weddings with capacity for up to 130 guests.

Fantastic setting away from the crowds. Much refreshing compared to the bustle and standoffish crowds of Santana Row. Inviting rustic decor gives a relaxing lodge getaway vibe. Appetizers were truly appetizing. The sauce in the pecorini mushroom tortellini was superb. The garlic prawns were great too. Great selection of wines. Lamb rack was very good with the perfect au just. Definitely worth repeating for a birthday or anniversary dinner! Just don't be in rush and take it slow!

La Foret excels in details. From the tiny bit of pepper on the side of my salad plate to the extra butter that suddenly appears on the table without asking to the beautiful garnish on my cocktail. These types of details combined with the excellent service from Tanya made for an unforgettable birthday dinner. Our venison and bison entrees were fabulous. So glad I have leftovers. I don't have to wait for my next visit to enjoy a La Foret meal.

We come here on a regular basis, and are never disappointed. The food and ambience are wonderful. Eva is a fantastic server, and we always look forward to coming.

Excellent and diverse menu. I tried the tasting menu and was not disappointed. The sauces were amazing throughout the meal and paired exceptionally well with the different varieties of seafood and meats served. The service was amazing with full pre-bus service and utensil replacement throughout the meal. I have not seen this level of service in any restaurant in a while. I highly recommend a night out at La Foret.

From the Quail and Scallop Appetizers. Delicious Potato Leak Soup and the Mouth Watering Salad Francise and the Amazing Bison Ribeye perfectly cooked medium rare and the outstanding Gran Mornier Soufle thatcwas so scrumptious, the dinner at La Foret was culinary fabulous experience!

La Foret was perfect for our date night. The food and drinks we had were absolutely delicious. Alan was our server and he was incredible. He made the dining experience 10x better. Everything he recommended to try was excellent.

Me and my fiancé had a wonderful experience! The food was amazing and the service was so welcoming. The ambiance of the restaurant was so beautiful and peaceful. It was a great engagement dinner! Will definitely be back!
