Meet the Artist Born and raised in St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands, Lucien Downes is a self-taught contemporary artist and curator with Trinidadian, Barbadian, and Crucian roots. Known for his vibrant mixed-media works, Lucien draws inspiration from Caribbean culture, spirituality, and everyday life. His artwork has been exhibited internationally and is held in private collections, including that of Maya Angelou. Through his art, he celebrates cultural heritage, creativity, and storytelling.
