WE have no idea why this restaurant has so many stars. We took the reviews seriously and were sorely disappointed with the experience. There were attentive servers (waiters in this case) Our waiter was slow and inattentive. Our portions for very small compared to what we paid for them and we are used to fine dining and not huge portions. For example, we ordered the scallops served with a small salad, and the dish came out with 4 small sea scallops (?) and greens with a balsamic. My lamb chops were served medium raw instead of medium rare and my husband had to leave his seat after trying to get the waiters attention several times. The rissotto was very plain and bland. My husband ordered the chioppino and although the broth was delicious, the shellfish amount was maybe what we would consider a half portion. I think it was the manager though, who came to us and offered us a complimentary key lime pie dessert to make up for the lamb chops that came back eventually appropriately cooked. These people need a new chef. It's a shame because this place has a lot of possibilities. It's location is wonderful and the view of a canyon in Laguna Niguel is just lovely. A warm washcloth at the end of the meal is a nice touch. The other wait staff that pour water and deliver food and bread are very courteous and make sure we always had water. My advice to this owner from both my husband and I who dine often: GET NEW CHEFS

Excellent food, great quality, price and freshness. Also a great view up the salt creek trail. Dirty Martini is the first my wife has not asked for more olive juice! 100% would visit again

First time. Never heard about Legends. Neighbor suggested it. Huge place. Surprised to be among the only guests. Wasn’t expecting much. My pork chop special was outstanding. Service was great. I hope to return.

This place has 3 areas: outside, formal dinning room, and bar/relaxed side. So there is a place for whatever mood you are looking for. I did the formal side and the service was top notch! Even brought us a hot towel to clean our hands at the end. The pricing for the food was within the range you would expect. They are not like other restaurants that charge way higher just because the can. The only issue was the taste of the food. It was nothing special, needed some seasoning. Some food was slightly over cooked, while others were slightly under cooked. All they need is a more skilled cook to match their phenomenal service.

Their website says “Best food in Laguna Niguel” not even close! Starting with the good, the Eggplant Parm was excellent, after that it was all down hill. My wife had the Short Ribs that were tough and mash potatoes were dry. I had the Lamb med rare, it was charred nicely but raw and very small, nothing like what is on their website. Lastly, they are overpriced for what you get.

We had the best meal there over the weekend. Our first visit and the food and service did not disappoint. I ordered the lobster tail and I didn't have to mortgage the house. Great value. Food presented in a delicious and appetizing way. Can't wait to go back and try everything else on the menu.
