Liberty Kitchen & Oysterette (LKRO) prides itself in it’s Oyster Bar. The multiple use seating at and around the Oysterette is inviting and friendly. The huge oyster, fresh seafood and whole fish display showcases seasonality and the vastness of the seafood offerings at LKRO. A traditional Japanese Robata Grill and a vertical 'Trompo' Grill are part of the Oysterette’s flexibility in a small space making the 'mini-kitchen' capable of producing freshly shucked oysters, grilled oysters, sushi, seafood towers and fresh carved tacos.

Moving into the main kitchen, the menu is just as wide and deep with a variety of local and regional seafood dishes and local Texas Beef. Our desire, as always, is to have a little something delicious for everyone and a menu for every palate as well as daily and weekly special features inspired by the bounty of available produce, meats and seafood in the Gulf Coast and beyond.

Liberty Oyster is one of our favorite restaurants for date night, and has been for many years! We've been to this location over 15 times in the past few years; the food is delicious and the service is always exceptional. We especially love the raw oysters, the oyster topped deviled eggs. Highly recommend!

Flavor on the traditional menu was very good. The special was not 'special' and was overpriced. We were disappointed when we saw the bill, never expecting Shrimp and Grits to be $48, which was not shared by the server. Food was very good, but felt like the 'splurge' items are overpriced.

This is one of or favorite restuarants in Houston. High quality food, service and excellent prices. They offer daily specials that are extraordinary!! Ask for Jamie, Gustov or David all are the best staff ever!! Ask for Joe's help on their wonderful wine selection!!! We cannot wait to go again!

Freshest seafood ever!! Try the Spinach Seafood dip it is not on the menu but it was EXCELLENT!! We always request Jamie as our server because he is exceptional.

We had the best server! The place was pretty empty so there was lots of attention, but we never felt like anyone was hovering and we’re definitely NOT rushed. Food was great, definitely worth the price. Drinks were well balanced and fun. Get the espresso martini for a fire show!

Always an enjoyable return visit. Nice to see some new menu additions. Good service and well-presented (very tasty) grilled oysters, redfish and sides. Coffee and churros for dessert were a proper finish.

Redfish was very good. 20 pct automatic tip which explains the waiter we had. First time I ever was told coffee and tea were “turned off” when ordering dessert. This was embarrassing in front of important group being hosted. Really wanted to like the place but would never go back. I am turned off like the coffee and tea.

My wife and daughter did not like their meals at all--way too much tomato sauce on the mixed seafood grille order. Appetizers were good however. Service was quite good.

I’ve been to Liberty Kitchen before this visit and so I had reasonable expectations, however this visit missed the mark. The waiter (maybe new) was not well versed in the menu (which i assume doesn’t change)-i asked for the drinks included in my kids meals and he said “oh those aren’t included they’re optional, when it says INCLUDED on the menu He completely forgot about my drink order until we are done with our meal. And my husband’s meal tasted very terrible. He had some kind of chicken sausage and it was disgusting. My steak and eggs was just meh…I’m hoping it’s just the brunch that is lack luster and when we go back for dinner it will be better. I’d recommend for dinner not brunch!

We should have suspected it would not be a comfortable experience when we walked in and there was a giant potable fan in the restaurant. While the food was excellent I left miserably drenched in sweat. I drank so much water to try to cool off that I wasn’t able to enjoy my meal. Had the restaurant been upfront about the situation with the AC I may have gone elsewhere instead of having an unpleasant dining experience.
