The place was very busy so even though we had a reservation we had to wait half an hour for a table. Food then took about 45 mins to come. Staff were helpful and working extremely hard to get food and drinks out as quickly as they could. But overall for the price ($55 rump steak) it was disappointing.

The food was terrible- cardboard chicken so dry it disintegrated in my mouth (chicken Caesar salad). Overcooked crispy chicken on a burger. Was told we couldn’t move from near the cold gusts every time the door opened even though there were plenty of spots. After some pushing, we did move. It was way over priced for pub food that was terrible.

I expected much better quality food for the location and cost. Especially when you have quality dining with ‘Gather’ upstairs which unfortunately was not open as a lunch option. The quality and presentation of the food was way below expectation and acceptance. It was food you might find in an unreputable corner cafe in suburbia. Very disappointing experience. Won’t eat there again. The meals did come in a reasonably quick timeframe & drinks were good. Food and overall ambience was the letdown.

Food and drinks were nice. Staff friendly and efficient. However it was quite chilly there so we didn’t stay very long.

We had reserved a table with highchair & when we arrived a staff member outlined a vague area with her hand & directed us to find our own table. However we had no table reserved, but were lucky enough to find one free. We then had to track down a highchair, so not off to a good start. The food was fine, think pub food choices which arrived fairly quickly. The ambience was non existent & the staff were not helpful & showed a total lack of enthusiasm & professionalism. As an aside the lift carpet was threadbare & the lift itself smelt unpleasant, which we found surprising in a Rydges hotel & the standard they’re known for. Needless to say we won’t be back.
