We all had the lunchtime meals which were absolutely gorgeous Best gammon ive had.My sister had fish fingers and also said they were best she had ever had .On the whole we had great time.

Great value lunch menu. Food was well cooked and tasty. Only reason for not giving 5 stars in all categories was no coffee available.

Unfortunately we won't return to The Masons Arms. We regularly book a family Sunday Lunch. I couldn't get a table until 4pm and when we arrived we were advised despite booking a table for 7 several weeks previously that only roast chicken was left. Once we ordered it took a while, the wrong meal was cooked for myself. They had run out of Vegetables and most desserts. I had to go to the bar to ask for a dessert menu & for the bill. We wouldn't be worried about having plenty of time to enjoy our meal but that combined with everything else made it a poor experience Unfortunately.

Worst roast I’ve had. Half of what was on the menu didn’t come out on the plate. Website is really deceiving

Much of the food had been reheated (such as the roast potatoes and stuffing). The food overall was not hot. The service was a slow. I realise the landlord/landlady are new and will therefore probably try again in a couple of months to see if the experience improves.

Delicious lunch, staff attentive. Sadly heating not working so it was cold. Could also do with background music as conversations on tables heard by other tables.

I was very disappointed with the service and food we have been coming to the mason for many years, and I must say we’ve always had good food friendly staff that were always making you feel welcome. The presentation of the food was poor prawns in sauce on a lettuce leaf and a roll, calamari in a small bowel with Marie rose sauce in a separate bowl and over cooked.. my partners pie was doughy and the fish was overcooked chips not great and a hair on my plate.
