Ribs and ceviche apps are DELICIOUS. Pork platter was amazing!! Definitely would go back and get the same exact things. Beautiful decor, ask for a table next to the windows for an amazing sunset view over the harbor.
Our new favorite Baltimore restaurant! Great harborfront location on what we consider the safer end of town with easy parking. Beautiful patio for outdoor dining. Good wine list, incredible Bar list, great cocktails.
Guacamole was fresh, light and delicious with grapes, queso fresco, cilantro, jalapeno
Tortilla Soup was out of this world, not the normal tex mex caldo broth! Creamy but light, flavorful, so delicious.
Spicy Lobster Tacos were delicious.
Prices are higher than some, but the offerings are refined and worth every dollar. Service was excellent. Even the music was great! We will be back
Amazing food, way too overpriced! The staff and the service are stellar, it's just too much to spend.
Wonderful! The food is delicious and yet not pretentious. Both the interior and exterior are gorgeous and the indoor dining chairs are some of the most comfortable I've every experienced at a restaurant. Loved it here.
We were so excited to check out this spot. Went for brunch. The restaurant has a cool vibe and the outside seating area was very nice. Service was not good and our food took an incredibly long time. Ordered margaritas which were really good but again they took a really long time. The food was just ok - nothing special - guacamole was very good, huevo rancheros & wagyu tacos - Extremely small portions. Maybe just an off day but we won’t be running back.
I highly recommend the Guac and a drink with a friend, but that is where I would stop. We tried 6 aperitifs with one drink and the bill was $150. Also, I would definitely pass on the "vintage beef" at $32 for 6 small pieces...of an old cow. The waiter on the other hand was very friendly and the hostess very accommodating. The location and atmosphere are great, but with so many good options around, the kitchen has to try harder. Oh, and skip the queso fundido, unless you have 3 people and love plain cheese.
On a quiet Monday night. Great view from the restaurant. Service was impeccable. Efficient and non-intrusive yet still felt personable. Cocktails were well crafted, great presentation and very tasty. Loved the ability to add smoky and or spicy options to some of them. Apps and main entrees were excellent as well. I would repeat next time in town. Definitely on the pricey end but very good all around.
The decor and ambience at the restaurant was nice. The oysters are a must try and the chilequiles were delicious. The food is overall on the pricier side, but it tasted good enough that I would come back again. Did I mention the oysters were amazing!
Incredible food, the best margs and even better service!
Delicious Huevos Rancheros for breakfast!
We were greeted with a very friendly host! We were the first ones there for lunch and got pick of the tables outside! Walking through the dining room inside was gorgeous and outside was even nicer! The weather was perfect and it felt like we were sitting somewhere in South America, not sitting at a restaurant in Baltimore during covid! The music was great, the servers were really nice, and the food was very flavorful and delicious!
My first visit to Maximon. It is a beautiful restaurant, and I look forward to being able to dine indoors there in the future. In the current circumstances, however, the outdoor terrace was a respectable alternative, with good views of the Inner Harbor. The menu is decidedly eclectic, featuring sophisticated versions of Mexican dishes along with American favorites. For me, the stars of the menu were the three ceviche offerings, which, while not traditional Peruvian, were each imaginative and delicious. The margaritas were also very good. My only negative comment is not with the restaurant itself but with the Open Table listing, which indicated Maximon's cost at $30 per person. The appetizers alone started at $15, and entree prices ranged from $25 to $100.
We ordered the scallop dumplings... it was good but i wasn’t wowed. The guacamole and oysters were so good and it’s a must order. We always order the carne asada which is just amazing! And you can never go wrong with a Cadillac margarita.
Great dinner. Great Cuban band
Maximon is a definite favorite for an upscale but not pretentious night out. They have vegetarian options which is ideal for us, and everything is full of flavor and soooo delicious! Our young son also loved all his food and of course the desserts. The cocktails are also always on point, and who doesn’t love the view. We will definitely be back soon.
Easily one of the top 3 meals I’ve had in Baltimore- actually, ever!
We went here for the first time for Valentine day. We got the guacamole as an appetizer. That was excellent. Next we had the queso w crab.. which was decent. Our main meal was sharing 3 of their taco small plates. All 3 were quite disappointing. The mushroom taco, which was recommended to us, was a 1 out of 5 tops. The wagyu steak was... just okay... and the crab n shrimp one had such a strong lime taste, we couldn’t even enjoy the taste of the seafood. Overall, aside from a very nice ambiance, we would not be tempted to come back.
The service was a little bit slow, but all the staff are wonderful. The food was amazing. expect to pay a pretty penny 😉
The price was not worth the small amount of food you receive
Given the current dining restrictions in Baltimore they went out of their way to make it a great experience.
Great Tequila selection, Guac was fantastic, tres leche was uniquely good.
Gorgeous space and good food. Expensive!
Wouldn’t return. I called to confirm my reservation and requested the hostess to inform the waiter we were there for a birthday. The waiter was friendly and very knowledge the busser however, very aggressive. We were barely finishing up our food and she’d come in and remove our plates. I had to tell her about 3 times we weren’t done with our food. The food lacked flavor. Lastly, we requested dessert and had to ask the waiter to bring out a candle to be able to sing happy birthday, he then said,” you guys didn’t tell me you were celebrating a birthday” I shouldn’t have to if I called prior to my reservation.
Overall, an average experience.
Everything about Maximon was such a treat! We had the Wagyu Tacos, Hamachi, Carne Asada platter, a side of their greens, and then some churros for dessert. Everything was seasoned, and cooked perfectly. Our server was helpful and nice. The manager stopped by to check-in which is a small thing that makes a difference and shows how much the staff cares about their customers' experience. Maximon has definitely become one of my favorite spots!!
One of our first forays into indoor dining now that our party of 4 has been vaccinated. I was a bit disappointed to learn there was a 60 minute dining allocation- Even though that is a baltimore regulation and not the restaurants rule I still wish the restaurant had let us know in advance as we would not have chosen to dine there. That being said they did a great job with the service that didn’t feel rushed. The drinks were fabulous, the food was good except for the portobello fajitas which were very bland and overly salted. The lamb chops and fish were great and the guacamole was exceptional. The biggest concern I had is that one of the servers and I think a manager both had their masks below their noses- I feel like we are too far into the pandemic for that to happen. Also when I asked for my fajitas to be packed up they didn’t pack the tortillas . I really want to support our restaurants - just expected a bit more from the Four Seasons . This dining experience was good but nothing close to exceptional.
Portions way too small for cost. Would not recommend
The remodel and new theme are really well done. Service was on point and very friendly. I only wish the menu was a little bigger but that could be due to current covid issues.
Pork Ribs are a must!!!
We had breakfast here and would love to come back at night. There restaurant has a very cool vibe and it’s a great location. Our food was outstanding, although the menu is super limited in terms of options.
We were 1 of 3 tables in the entire restaurant and our service was terrible. We had to ask for water to be filled, for more coffee, one of our items didn’t come out and we had to ask twice for it. I also had to search the restaurant to find our waiter to get our check. I ended up needing to goto the bar to get our check so we could leave.
Went for breakfast. Service sucked, waited 5 mins for the host to come back to the desk to seat us. The small amount of food they serve did not taste good and the waiter was barely seen. The location and the decor is lovely.
I love coming here for dinner. I love the ambiance and service. Thank you will come back soon❤️ although I was sad they didn’t have any options for dessert, but we were offered complimentary flan.
Overall, great experience! The waiter recommended a delicious dish and everything we ordered was amazing! I would highly recommend!
I was at maximon yesterday for what I thought would be brunch (brunch ends at 10:30) but when I found out it wasn't, my friend couldn't have anything on the regular menu because she is preparing for surgery. The bar manager Abraham who was our server did everything in his power to make sure we could stay and enjoy something. He worked something out with the kitchen for my friends dietary restrictions, and I had the ribs and oysters (excellent). The cocktail in the photo is a off menu gin and tonic..hit up Abraham, he's great!
I have eaten all over the world. This food was among the best ever. My 3 quests share this opinion, It has been several days and I can still remember the taste. Look for me after the pandemic is under control.
Beautiful. Classy. Upscale. Great for a date, celebrating a birthday or just a fun girl night out!! My fav restaurant in Baltimore! Highly recommend!
Love this restaurant! Amazing atmosphere, food and cocktails! Great place to try mezcal spirits! Also, try the raw oysters! You will not be dissatisfied!
Service is really nice. Food is all good! Beautiful view! Loving to hang out here!
Went to celebrate a 21st birthday during the pandemic. Maximon took excellent care of us and made everything so special. Absolutely would recommend times a million! All the cocktails and the desserts were incredible. The churros, tres leches cake and the passion fruit flan were all 10/10.
Great place to eat! Loved everything about it!
My experience at Maximon was excellent and the ambiance was amazing. I would recommend!!
Was one of the best dining experiences we have ever had, Covid or pre Covid. These people do it right. Cannot wait to return.
