Welcome to McClain Cellars - Laguna Beach! We are a “hip” modern industrial luxury tasting lounge that is a cross between a New York “Soho” music venue and a “Napa Valley” tasting lounge. This is not an ordinary winery by any means.

Featuring a 16-foot glass garage door, skylights, and a shaded patio, McClain Cellars brings the beauty of Laguna Beach into the tasting room. Along the bar, you will find artistic wine bottles with unique paintings on each. Each of the wines has a clever name like, “Summer Breeze,” “Love & Happiness,” “Promise Keeper,” and “Faithful Friend” to name a few. With the capacity to host up to 49 guests at once, this quaint venue offers free parking, easy freeway access and flexible hours. The tasting lounge is in the HIVE at 849 Laguna Canyon Road, Laguna Beach, CA next to Kitchen in the Canyon and the Laguna Beach Beer Company.

Got a private event? Need an awesome place to have it? Our Wine Tasting Lounge is ready to host your next private party. We offer Private Chef Pairings, Wine Tastings, and much more. We also have wine by the glass and bottles of wine that come from our winery in the Santa Ynez Valley of California. You will have a chance to enjoy our wide collection of cheese, charcuterie, and light snacks as well. One of the all-time favorite items on our menu, besides the wine, of course, is our artisan popcorn. It's not your ordinary popcorn by any means. It is very unique. Air-popped, white hulless corn from Amish country with fresh herbs and spices made with our fresh Sant Ynez valley olive oils. Flavors such as black truffle & garlic, Garlic Pepper and Rosemary, and many more to pair with the wine. It's just yummy. We can not wait to see you at McClain Cellars and show you just how great wine is served.

The wines are great. Lots of options. Prepare for light snacks for purchase. No outside food allowed. Pourers are friendly and accommodating. Relaxing and covid friendly. Love to hang out here

Shane was the best. We were there as a couple celebrating a birthday and he made us feel so welcome and was so knowledgeable of all the wine. He had great things to say about the Mcclains and was just a great human. Thanks!

Great wine but wish they served real appetizers….not just cheese and crackers. They need a small kitchen. It can be done….I’ve gone to other wineries where they serve cooked appetizers.

Nice atmosphere. Live music was nice. Can’t rate food appropriately as they don’t have a kitchen. It would be nice if they could pair up with one of the neighboring restaurants to offer at least some appetizers. They have a fridge with some grab and go prepacked cheese and meats. They’ll give you a cheese board to lay your items out and some plates. So that was nice. Service was good. They appeared a bit short staffed the evening we were there….but hey. It’s wine tasting. Who’s in a hurry anyway! 😉

It was a friends birthday, GNO and we had the best time. This family owned business is a hidden gem of wine tasting. The outdoor setting is perfect for spring nice. Great tasting wines and amazing jalopino popcorn. 5 stars. Can’t wait to go back.

We were really pleased with our experience at McClain. We had visited the Solvang tasting room previously, but this was our first visit to McClain in Laguna. Our server, Chelsea, was super friendly and knowledgeable about the wines. The atmosphere is relaxed and very inviting. The wines are excellent. We chatted with the owner, Jason, for a few minutes before we left and enjoyed his energy and enthusiasm. We're happy that this fun wine experience is just down the road from where we live and we will definitely visit again.

What a fun place to do wine tasting! It was my first time wine tasting and Jamie was so knowledgeable and fun. She really made us feel at home and our experience was a 10/10! We’re visiting from out of town and we are definitely coming back next time we’re in Laguna! Thanks again Jamie, You were great!

Hi Maddi! Thanks so much for leaving us a great review! We wish we could do more with food as well (and we're trying!) but the health department is strict on licensing for food. We hope to be able to expand our options in the future!
