Every member of the staff was excellent. The menu was well thought out and the food was delicious. The pricing was better than I thought it would be. It was my husband's birthday and he enjoyed it. We got a smores bread pudding and it was wonderful!

Our experience was wonderful!! Keora was our server. She was fun, friendly, engaging & knowledgeable. The wine & food-pizza & steak/eggs were delicious!!! We’ll definitely be back!!

We went to celebrate my wife’s birthday. Neither of us had been there prior and it was an opportunity to try a new place. From the moment we walked in, the experience was lovely. We were quickly greeted by a smiling hostess who took us to our table. Hazel, our waitress, was helpful, kind and knowledgeable. She kept us in the loop as our food was being prepared and let us know it would be”be out shortly”. The food was delicious. We had a goat cheese appetizer which was delectable and our main dishes were cooked and seasoned perfectly (chef’s special and the evening’s pasta special). Overall the experience was one we’ll remember forever and we are already thinking of reasons to go back. Thank you!!!!

Our waitress was Cassy & she was phenomenal! We had great service & the food came quickly. The wine was good. We had the Library flights. Unfortunately the food was terrible. My fish was overcooked, my FIL’s pork was hard as a rock. I was really hoping for better because the place is beautiful

Our server, Jonathan, was great. His recommendations were great and he checked on us the appropriate amount of times. Not too little. Not too much. The food is delicious and the helpings are huge. Keep that in mind when thinking whether you want the appetizer or the dessert. I could not do both! Last time I picked the appetizer (stuffed mushrooms) - to die for. This time I picked the dessert (brownie and ice cream). OMG! It was so delicious. The manager also stopped by our table to check on everything. Final analysis, this place is great!

Average food, had to send back my pizza because it was not cooked completely.The bread pudding was dense and flavorless. Not worth the price!

Never received a glass of wine that Messina Hof gave us that we didn't enjoy...so, became club members! And, their food is ALWAYS amazing with just the right amount to not make you feel overfull, which is perfect for us.

It was our first time at this great restaurant. Victoria was an amazing server. She was knowledgeable, funny, and took great care of us. The food was inventive and amazing. We had a great time except for one thing... The water quality was very poor. I am not a wine drinker but was with wine drinkers. Unfortunately, my only choice of beverage was water. Please do something about the taste and quality of the water. We will return but we hope you will have that small problem fixed!

The Chardonnay fish was as tough as an over cooked piece of chicken breast. Not quite shoe leather, but close. Our other entree was a dry pork chop with greasy Brussels sprouts. Half wonder if our food was kept under a heat lamp for a few hours? As for the wine, we know that growing grapes in Texas is a challenge, but the results shown in the tasting flight ordered left a lot to be desired. We couldn’t have left soon enough. It’s somewhat sad because if the restaurant truly focused on fresh ingredients and a farm to table menu, it could make me overlook the wine quality. Hope it improves but we won’t be back.

First time at Messina Hof tonight. Why did we wait so long?! We were members years ago and are again now! Great wine and loved being able to create your own tasting experience. Started with the baked goat cheese and wow, I could eat this every day! Would’ve like more of the candied jalapeño. Hubby had the spinach salad and I had Caesar and both were great. I had the chef special of grilled grouper, sweet corn risotto with grilled shrimp. Amazing! Shrimp & grits were very good with interesting addition of the blistered tomatoes. Had to have the brownie. Our server Hannah was the best! Her smile is contagious and so nice! Can’t wait to visit in a Sunday for members happy hour & to experience the great patio! We’ll see y’all soon!! Cheers!!

This is an excellent venue for dinner, just to have a glass of wine or to combine wine with a few appetizers. The outdoor dining experience is very bit as comfortable as indoors despite the heat.

The food was really good, but the charcuterie plate was small for the price. The pizza was the best deal and really tasty. We had two large parties around us and the acoustics made it difficult to have a normal conversation at times.

Been wanting to come for a while, and jumped on Restaurant Weeks. Very happy! Only one in our party of four got the special menu, but all entrees were good, the atmosphere was lively and warm, and we had a great evening. We’ll be back, especially when patio weather returns! Loved our server, but when “winery” is the core concept, management needs to make sure everyone can speak knowledgeably about, you know, the wine.

We had an enjoyable time getting the Houston Restaurant Weeks menu. The pasta and desserts were a bit forgettable, but the steak with mashed potatoes and broccolini were delicious, and the salads were good.

This was the 3rd time I had been to Messina Hof Harvest Green Winery and it will most definitely not be my last. I have sat inside and outside and have been there for lunch and dinner. Each time I go the staff is marvelous and so very friendly. The food is outstanding and the wine as well. I will be returning regularly. Thank you Messina Hof Harvest Green Winery for being UNFORGETTABLE!!!

Amazing service (thank you maddy!!) amazing food. I’m still dreaming of that salmon. And best of all wine tastings, a lot of them under 20 dollars. I loved the sweet wine tasting. I will definitely be back

Potential is there. Service at 4pm on a Wednesday, where they knew there would be 8 ppl, should have been impeccable. Our server was nice but just asking what we want when we sat down after waiting for 5-10 min until I (the birthday girl) got up to ask if we could get the wine tasting list, glasses, etc, started the downward spiral. I had to ask for the wine experience as we have never been there, then was told we all had to do the same wine for a tasting, then the steak was way over cooked, then the remake was way under cooked (was removed from bill thankfully). I would have enjoyed more being able to try multiple wines than just one type, and being awinery this should ALWAYS be an option no matter the size of group it is, but with 8ppl we couldn't agree on 5 so 1 type it was. Get better soda options as some people don't drink wine and the choices offered with a place that has food are not good. Then to end this only allowing a 4 credit card split when one person only had a salad, no wine, wanted to buy my wine. A party this large should be able to split accordingly. I likely will not ever travel back that far to maybe get a better experience I would rather just go to Fredericksburg, Wimberley or even Napa for a real wine tasting experience! Positive notes the Goat cheese appetizer was fantastic as well as the Brownie dessert. I did really enjoy the Tempranillo as well!

I was gifted with a gift card to Messina Hof as a birthday gift. We had never tried it but had wanted to and what better time than for restaurant week to help the Food Bank. My husband and daughter had the restaurant week menu and I chose a La cart. Pro: the pizza crust was delicious and our bottle of Cab Franc was very nice. Con: (1) I agree with a previous poster, the water smelled of very strong chlorine (my teen daughter had a tough time with it); (2) the caprese salad was average except for the slices that ranged from 1/4” to 1/2” and the balsamic was nice but the olive oil was missing; (3) my daughter’s steak should have been medium but if it was sliced then placed in holding awaiting the rest of the dinner; therefore, the first pieces were dry and well done; (4) her really long piece of broccolini should have been peeled of it’s fibrous skin covering the stalk; (5) her mashed potatoes were sprinkled with what looked and tasted like artificial Parmesan cheese; (6) my husband’s red snapper was grilled with the skin on and the Chardonnay sauce was very mild in flavor; (7) my pizza had a great crust but I couldn’t decide whether the fig and prosciutto pizza was a dessert or an entree topped with the yellow wilted arugula; (8) my daughter’s brownie dessert was more like a piece of fudge at 1/2” tall; and (9) our finished plates were never cleared before the next service. But what shocked me the most was the wine service, for being “a winery” based establishment. We ordered a bottle of Cabernet Franc, server opened it (did not show me the label to verify, as all restaurants do) and proceeded to pour both glasses. The server never poured a sample pour for tasting and to verify the quality as all other restaurants do. The server checked on us once and never refilled our wine glasses; we refilled our own. For this price point (dinner for 3 @ $200+)we were certainly shocked by our experience.

Our family dined a couple of weeks ago and it was fair experience. Although food was pretty good, our server was not! He seemed annoyed and unattentive even though the restaurant was not crowded

Fun to do the wine tasting. Nice place and we will go back. BUT, the water served is tap water and smells strongly of chlorine. We ordered bottle water to drink. And, some of the wine glasses have a tinge of red down in the glass. This comes from the wine sitting in the bottom before the glass is washed. It was a slight turnoff. Best to at least pour water in the glasses while they are waiting for washing.

Service was great , food was good but it was expensive for a 3 courses menu and the quality for it that didn’t justify the price.

Great selection of wine made from Texas grapes. Their atmosphere is wonderful and service is great.
