We ordered the omakase menu and expected multiple courses, soup, chefs special selection, desert for a leisurely dinner with friends and instead a plank of fish was plopped on our table rather rudely. Sushi and sashimi were good. However overall experience unlike any omakase menu we have ever seen. Very disappointed

The food was an absolute delight! Let’s get that out of the way right at the top. The sushi rice was some of the best I’d ever had; fully cooked but not a second over, sticky enough to hold together and fell apart wonderfully in the mouth for a great texture, and the flavor was soft and delicate yet completely clear. We (table of four) sat outside next to another group (table of 6) and never overheard their conversation. Though just off the road the car noise was both infrequent and negligible. The service was really good, if I have a complaint it might be that they were “too attentive” - refilling water glasses that were down by one sip from full. This wouldn’t have been an issue if they were unobtrusive about it, but the occasional interruption of our conversation with, “would you please pass me your glass?” so they could refill the one sip missing seemed excessive. Yes, this is nit-picky but this is the level I had to get to for constructive feedback. The night was wonderful, the food was unquestionably terrific, the service was really good, and I will be back again soon and happily recommend this place to many others.

My table wasn’t available so I sat at the bar. The bar tender taking the order constantly kept walking behind me, it made for an uncomfortable experience. I purchased non-happy hour selections and the food was just mediocre at best. The sushi was extremely bland and didn’t feel fresh. I paid $13 uni that had way too much rice and uni was half fallen apart. Overall, service was not good, they didn’t ask how the food was, and I won’t be coming back. Leaving the restaurant made me regret going there and paying high prices for bad service and mediocre food.

Great spot for date night, business or celebration dinners. Have been a fan of Umi Sake House for years so the menu was just as good and all the rolls were so good. Legends of Kaiju, inferno and the omakase sashimi were really good. We sat on the patio and view of the space needle made it very Seattle. The only reason I gave it a 4 star is because our waiter wasn’t very enthusiastic, he hardly smiled and wasn’t really informative. Overall, it’s a nice spot and you know you can count on yummy rolls.

it was amazing incredible food!! get the soft shell crab my favourite! great portions for the price. Only downside was a lot of the girls working there weren’t the friendliest but we had a decent server, not very personable but brought us everything we needed. Would go again!

Delicious all around. We had the Mona Lisa roll which was one of the seasonal rolls and we had the scallops which were done to perfection. Paired with white wine and then a delicious strawberry drink it was a great anniversary dinner. To top it off, our dessert was a mochi sampler plate as well as a delicious ice cream macaroon sandwich with captain crunch berry flavored ice cream! A lovely meal and lovely evening in the emerald city! We will be back!

Friendly staff, great atmosphere. Sushi didn't have a lot of rice, the rolls fell apart easily. We ended up ordering 6 rolls which we've never done because we were still hungry. The standard rolls were priced very well, the specialty rolls were too pricey for what you get. Overall a good experience but based on my comments there's room for improvement.

We came at a weird in between time, and we wondered why they were even open. They only had some hand rolls, which were okay. They weren’t very filling and ended up being a waste of money. Server/waiter was not there yet, so they were very understaffed.

The seats are not at all comfortable. Looks like they have cheap wooden chairs to make sure you don’t spend more than 15 min in the restaurant. You can’t sit on those chairs for more than 15 min.

It was easy to reserve our table through open table. We had the table for almost 2 hrs. They have a great varieties of Sushi. Wide variety of fresh sushi too. Service is great. Staff are very friendly. We had a great time overall. We will be back many times.

Wonderful sushi restaurant. Took a chance and tried this place after drinks one night. The sushi was to die for, the Sockeye was like eating butter. The black cod app was also fantastic.

The service was terrible. We went there for a family dinner on Saturday. We had two waiters attending to our table and the entire evening they just kept rushing us. They were constantly hovering around and clearing our dishes even before we finished. On two occasions they apologized for picking up a plate to clear when we were not done! our meal was interrupted constantly with questions of if we needed more food, if we needed a to-go box etc....we felt rushed the entire evening. We had made a reservation, we finished our meal in 2 hrs, and the restaurant was not packed... so not sure what the hurry was all about. Not to mention they knew we were clebrating our son's bday....they spoilt the mood.

Momiji was a good experience. The giant windows make it very open and airy but I think (Internet pics) some of their other locations are a bit more modern. Our waitress was good but some one or two things were overly delayed and another didn’t show up at all. The food was great…we ordered a lot veggie dishes…one was a noodle dish and it was amazing. Everything was. It’s definitely a business meal because it’s a bit pricey. Def recommend.

Absolutely shocked at the food. We are regulars at the Capitol Hill location so we were excited to try this out. The tempura was OK - lacking crispness and no salt at all. The sushi rolls (spicy tuna, spider and shrimp tempura roll) were not up to par. The fish was smelly, the shrimp tempura was tiny and barely battered and the rice - the main ingredient, the sushi - was unseasoned and poorly assembled. Just look at how poorly these are rolled.

Sushi was very good but the experience was nothing like the beautiful vibe at the Capital Hill location that has a traditional sushi bar. I requested 2 seats at the sushi bar & upon arrival, saw we were being taken to a 6 person drink bar...hmmmm. Just missed being able to see the fish assortment, talk with the chef, and see their craft in progress. Menu also seemed much smaller & presentation seemed pared down.
