The food was delicious- the atmosphere was relaxing and our server, Scott was very attentive to whatever we needed!! He would have what we needed before we asked
Always a wonderful time here at Morton’s in Pittsburgh.
Great Food and exceptional service by Marissa in the bar.
The food was very good. My bone in rib eye was the best steak I've ever eaten. The mashed potatoes, the scallops wrapped in bacon and the carrot cake were all excellent. My wife's filet came out more medium rare than medium as requested and while very juicy and tender wasn't as flavorful as others we have enjoyed in the past. I was astonished at the size of the baked potato (18 to 22 ounces) and enjoyed the top 1/2 however they top it at the serving of the meal and halfway through your left with the plain bottom half because they are so large. I suggest leaving the potato condiment tray on the table to resolve this. The level of hospitality and service were exceptional from start to finish. They made our special event truly special. The atmosphere is classy, clean and comfortable. The ambience was perfect. I was in the restaurant industry for over 30 years with over 20 years of multi unit management experience and I would rate this in the top 3 dining experiences in my life. I have already recommended it to several other people and will return when we are back in the area. 9.5 out of 10....
Always a great mwal. Had the Steak with lobster topping. Was delicious. Will be back again. Thank yo Michael and Todd.
De lo mejor en Bethesda
Muy buen servicio y excelente comida.
Agradable carta de vinos
We had an early dinner at the dining room staff was helpful and appropriately attentive.
The best feature was the cocktails, which were well made.
The food was extremely disappointing. I ordered the seasonal special bone-in dry-aged NY steak. It was swimming in a beef broth that overpowered the steak. The cut was too thin and the meat was too tough. Really disappointing for $79. My wife had a seafood platter and the king crab was tasteless. We had a side of grilled asparagus and, again, they were either tasteless or overwhelmed by the balsamic glaze. For these prices, the quality of the food should be excellent. Regrettably, the quality of the food on this night was below acceptable for a $20 steak, much less and $80 one.
Steaks are always perfect. Great deal on Orin Swift Papillon . Staff is always attentive and knowledgeable. Sides are always tasty and prepared to perfection.
I went for my bday. I ordered the chilled seafood appetizer w lobster Mac and cheese. It would have been nice to have fewer breadcrumbs and more sauce w the Mac and cheese, but my no means did they shortchange me on the amount of lobster. The awesome mgr comped me a hot chocolate cake and ice cream. The waiter was just too pushy for my taste, offering his opinion of anything I ordered even though I didn’t ask him and sarcastically asking if I wanted him to sing me happy birthday, which I declined. Had he lost the attitude, he would’ve gotten a larger tip. I also requested my check well in advance of the end of my meal so it’d already be paid and he took much longer than necessary to run my card. He asked me if was ready for him to bring out the cake like he was waiting on me, but my dinner plates had already been removed. I told him he could’ve been brought out the cake. His service wasnt prompt and his attitude cost him a larger tip. The mgr was awesome and I would return.
As usual, excellent steak, cooked to perfection. Nice sides, great wines.
Ambient too dark for my taste and I've seen others using a flash light to read the menu.
Great food as always. But, I firstly realized that the dining room might be too dark for family use. My kids felt uncomfortable at this time and we boxed all steaks just after appetizer. Nothing was bad and food was excellent even at home.
My waiter was Bobby. he was excellent curtious prompt and professional. I had the 8oz. filet with a lobster tail, it was excellent.. The only thing I didnt like was the potatoes augratin.. as the potatoes were under cooked.....besides that the food was excellent. I was seated in the restaurant and the bar noise was loud, so if i was on a date it would have been a turn-off. Otherwise I will ask for bobby the next time I visit the place. Thank you
The manager, Todd, and his staff always gives my family superior service.
Our second visit in two weeks for a birthday celebration! Was delicious both times. Food cooked just the way we requested it. But the highlight of both visits was our server ASHLEY! She was terrific, very professional, got our orders 100% right the first time, and truly made both evenings a delightful celebration!
Outstanding each and every visit! The seasonal selections are always excellent.
A pre-holiday dinner for friends and family before heading to a (beef-deprived) Europe. There was nothing that we did not enjoy about this dinner. The beef was really great, as usual, but the highlight was the mashed, truffled cauliflower (go figure). The cold seafood platter was quickly demolished and is highly recommended. My one recommendation to Morton’s is push the match stick fries more as an appetizer, it is not working well as a side. There are better, shared potatoe options (although the lyonnaise potatoes have been inconsistent at this Morton’s in my experience). And the dessert experience is always wonderful. This is a great place to go for a special event anytime. It is not cheap but I always feel that I get good value for money.
Wonderful food and excellent service made for a very nice dinner.
Good food, great special, wonderful server. Always pleasant.
our waiter Raphael was great. Food is OK, not great. Prices are high.
Cocktails and food were very good. Share the sides portions are large.
Steaks were perfect, Service is always excellent. Todd the Manager always checks on us and makes sure everything is good.
Went for restaurant week promotion, the options on their menu was very disappointing. No effort was put in and some options had upgrades. The food was tasteless and waste of money. I think they shouldn’t participate since they clearly don’t see the need for them to do it to gain new customers. Won’t recommend the restaurant to anyone.
Went for Restaurant Week so it was a set menu. Had the filet mignon but was just average considering the price, and below average for normal price. Steak wasn't as fresh and juicy as I normally like it. Lacking meat flavor and juices.
Went for restaurant week and experienced the usual Morton’s good to great steak dinner. Overall very good dinner but even with the RW prices.. still an expensive night. Parking is always a tad bit awkard at the Hyatt but no biggie, one of the cooked medium fillet mignon steaks was a bit burnt on the edges, otherwise it was a great meal, excellent friendly service, and expect we’ll be back again next RE.
The service was excellent and all the food courses were delicious. We had a party of five and everyone enjoyed their meals and the evening.
Service was excellent. All food items tasted good to me, but my family thinks the steaks are tender but needs more flavor.
We went for the $35 Restaurant Week dinner, having had a good experience last year at Ruth’s Chris. When we so informed our waitress, she removed the 3 large menu books and brought us the RW special menu. It was written in micro script- 4 point font or something. We thot it was a joke. I used the magnifier on my iPhone to read it.
I’ll skip the details; here’s the summary:
I was served a dirty knife; replaced forthwith
I was served soup instead of the salad I ordered; salad was produced.
Both of our bread plates were removed, so we left half a loaf of bread untouched.
Steaks - med. rare - were v. good, tho a bit bland to this fan of Montreal Steak Seasoning.
Creamed spinach was plentiful and forgettable.
Dessert was fine.
We would have ordered and appreciated red wine but couldn’t see $13 a glass for the cheapest. (We paid $11 at Ruth’s Chris)
In all, a very mediocre experience. We were attracted by the 5-star reviews. Will look more closely in future.
This was our first time at Morton’s and we were going for the Restaurant Week promotion. They had a nice deal menu with choices for a pris fixe that includes a starter, protein+side, and a dessert. Everything tasted exactly like the traditional ideal, for instance the French onion soup and Caesar salad flavors were absolutely classic. The food was traditional and spot on. Service was quite good, although two managers kept interrupting us to ask how it was going. We probably saved 50% and we were very happy with the meal. With the expensive cocktails and tremendously marked up wine and beer, this is not a place we can afford to frequent, but it was very nice to try.
Went as part of Restaurant Week. The choices were excellent, service was outstanding and food was delicious. Requested a well done steak that was perfectly well done, and not over done (burnt).
My wife and I dined for restaurant week. Our meal started with a delicious onion soup. We both then enjoyed the filet mignon with sides of green beans and creamed spinach. We paired the meal with a nice wine and finished with Morton's chocolate lava cake. It was a great meal with excellent service. We will return.
Morton's is always my restaurant of choice for a good steak dinner. The restaurant is beautiful, the food is the best and the people are great. From the appetizers to the desserts, the best!
It's been consistent over the years - the friends who did opt into the restaurant week option said the food was a tad below their standard.
Still an upstanding institution - probably the baseline for higher tier steakhouses, but will need to step up to be competitive for some of these more boutique household names
Service was great. Lighting too dim in restaurant and especially in restroom. Food just okay; great bread.
Disappointed with our waiter “Chris” and representations he made while serving our table.
special birthday dinner for my daughter. Wonderful evening
Restaurant Week menu offered great choices. Just the things that I would order on a diet. Joe was great server. Enjoyed ourselves.
Always great food and service, nice setting and easy for conversation.
The staff was great. We were celebrating our anniversary and from the start they were treating us special. We were seated by the host and he came back after a few minutes and asked if he could take a picture of us. He did and minutes later he returned with a lovely keepsake (see the picture). Then they asked about desert, we chose their delicious molten chocolate cake and we were informed that it would be on the house! On the way out they all wished us a happy anniversary again. Great night out with my wife, and memorable. Thank you to the staff and Morton's.
We had a great time. Food was fabulous and service was impeccable. Highly recommended!
Todd and the bar staff always provide exceptional service.
