I was not warned that dinner at this Lodge was served buffet style with no menu. (The adjoining tavern offers a short, typical bar menu.) Apparently a conference was underway, so the dining room was quite full and noisy. The bartender in the tavern was very friendly and helpful. The staff was congenial. My party of 5 found the food to be okay--good salad bar, but the buffet-entree choices were limited to lamb and salmon, although our vegetarian was offered a stuffed mushroom entree, which she enjoyed). The most enjoyable part of the meal occurred after we finished dining and moved out of the loud dining room to couches in the lounge, where we enjoyed our coffee/tea beverages. We might have enjoyed the entire experience more had we known ahead of time that this was a limited buffet-only meal. The grounds at the Lodge are very impressive.

They say they are only having buffet for food offering now. It was $42 and was not worth it at all. There was asparagus, mashed potato and chicken. Also on a side table a salad bowl and one dessert to choose from. The service was amazing even though the main dining room was booked for a convention and there were a lot of people in the main dining room.

Well, first of all, there were so many weight staff, and they were all so gracious. You have a remarkable chef. I had the best salad I have ever had in my life just the perfect blend of lemon and whatever else she had on it I’d love to get the recipe. For breakfast one day we had a fantastic quiche again best I’ve ever had . Coffee was great. Service was great. I love it there.

After spending many years at Bruin Woods, we loved the experience of eating back in the dining room. The service was great, people were friendly, atmosphere was cozy and inviting. However, the food was not good at all.

It would be my first choice if I am in neighborhood, considering all other nearby restaurants are mediocre and food prices ridiculously high.

We were expecting better at this resort. Food was mediocre and came to table lukewarm to cold.The broccoli rabb was over seasoned. Soup was lukewarm. Salad lacked dressing .Very disappointing. The Chef needs to taste the food he is serving!
