   Would have liked to have seen a few other choices of non-stone items. However, very impressed with the variety of items for cooking on the stone! Great atmosphere next to PNC Park and fairly priced food.

   Haven't been in a while, the service was nice but the menu has changed a lot. The waitress at least told me it rotates on Thursdays. I will keep a watch out for deciding to come back, I felt limited by the choices. Enjoyed the location overall.

   Fantastic time! Went with my husband and son. We had the perfect table, near the entrance so we got lots of fresh air and views. We ordered three meals on the stones. It was incredible! I ordered the scallops on a stone and a Caesar salad, my son had steak and shrimp on a stone, my husband had salmon, shrimp and scallops on a stone. I requested butter dipping sauce for the seafood. We had an amazing experience and can’t wait to go back.

   The food was and always is delicious. We had the blackened Mahi Mahi special and we hope they keep it on the menu! It was stellar! The steak is fantastic as always. Service is great, but food always seems to be a little slow to come out. Don’t go there when you’re starving bc you usually have to wait a bit to eat. Overall though, that will not deter me from returning many more times!

    Food is outstanding…it was a nice day so they had all the big doors open was like an outside atmosphere…pleanty of shade….awesome place to eat….even though I’m not a Pittsburgh fan

    I really enjoyed the steak on a stone. Every bite was off the grill (well stone) hot and I could cook each piece exactly how I like it. Highly recommend NST!

    The steaks and scallops were top notch in every way. The side of blue cheese was so old there was very little white in the green blobs. Blue cheese should be used or thrown out before it looks like this. The bigger problem was the slaw, my husband had two bites of my slaw I ate the rest. He had stomach issues the next day, mine stomach issues were so bad, it was like I did a colonoscopy prep. I love the clean food of the north shore tavern, but I don’t know if I can trust freshness anymore.

    Interesting place. The Steak on a stone was awesome. Great mashed potatoes too. You do not go away hungry! Are server was very attentive. I think his name was Brandon. Nice selection of beers as well. We all had steaks and scallops and shrimp. Very tasty!

    We made a reservation for after the Pittsburg game and seated immediately. Server was great and steak on stone perfect. Highly recommend this restaurant. Mashed potatoes are incredible.

    Steaks were excellent and fun to do on the stone! Great concept. Server was very slow however and had to ask about our salads (ordered at 7:15 still waiting at 8:00–she made excuse in front of manager who sat us that our reservation wasn’t until 7:30??)

    Great place and every time it gets better. The “steak on an stone” is such a unique and enjoyable experience. This time I had the 12 Oz. Angus Filet, and it was delicious. Fun atmosphere with plenty of suggestions for beverages. I highly recommend!

    North Shore Tavern is a great restaurant for a date because it's a unique, fun experience to cut and cook your food at your table, and the ambiance is charming with its baseball theme. The food quality is excellent, but the hard surfaces make the environment a touch loud if you want a quiet, romantic date. I will definitely be a repeat customer.

    This seriously has to be the worst restaurant in the entire city! This infamous "steak on a stone" is more like eating rubber from the bottom of a shoe! It was truly the most disappointing experience I've ever had at a restaurant! The steak sticks to the stone and every time you try to cut a piece off, you have to try not to let it go flying as you try to scrap it off the stone. I lost a large piece and my son lost a large piece to the floor because as we both tried to pry the steak off the stone. It literally just went flying to the floor! The steak does NOT cook well on that stone unless, of course, you like to eat leather. It also has zero flavor. It is literally a raw piece of meat thrown on a hot stone, no salt or pepper, nothing. There were some choices of side sauces but even those were gross! I got a salad as my side dish. Since it sat right next to the 850 degree stone, the salad was very warm. Needless to say, I do not enjoy hot lettuce. It's gross! This was so bad that even the water was disgusting at this place! I'm fairly certain they just turned the tap on because it tasted like sewer water. It was the worst water I've ever had. And don't even get me started on the service. The front hostess was the rudest person from the moment we walked in with a reservation. The waitress was virtually MIA anytime we needed or wanted something. I would not recommend this place to my worst enemy! Seriously, the worst restaurant in all of Pittsburgh!

    Went for pirates opening day! This was an awesome experience and i will definitely be back (probably in 2 weeks at my next pirates game ) ! The steak was so tender and delicious and the chimichurri sauce was amazing !!! The shrimp and scallops great too ! Cooking on the stone was awesome ! I will recommend to everyone i know !
