Oak Steakhouse Raleigh continues the legacy of the original Oak Steakhouse in Charleston, SC, with a modern take on the classic steakhouse. Located in the Warehouse District of downtown Raleigh, Oak Steakhouse offers an innovative approach to steakhouse dining, serving farm-fresh dishes alongside steakhouse classics. Since we consume less red meat these days, we really look forward to the special Steak meals. oak didn’t disappoint. It was excellent. From the buns to the Fritte, we enjoyed every bite. Dakota provided great service. Our only negative comment is that the Brussels sprouts were undercooked. We took them home and reheated them and they were much better. We’ll be back!

Got the new guy at the bar, order bourbon flight . He didn’t know how to make it , received it and it wasn’t made the same as as the person to my right. Secondly ordered dinner and bread service with my meal. Bread service was forgotten and can after my meal. My meal was the thanksgiving special came with dessert, the selection was decided at the time of ordering. Again he forgot to enter it and it took 20mins after finishing main course to get dessert. First experience here was not impressed.

We always have great meals at Oak Steakhouse. Steak frites & a divine chocolate layer cake for Thanksgiving were perfect. And the service can’t be beat—the maitre d’ even got us a table for 4 when friends showed up for a drink last minute. Altogether, a pleasure to dine there.

I hate to leave any kind of negative review because I know how detrimental it can be to a business. But tonight’s experience was pretty disappointing. My partner and I have a tradition to visit Oak Steakhouse for Thanksgiving every year. It’s such a special place to us and we were so excited to be here for the 5th year in a row. The food is always excellent so I want to say something was off in the kitchen tonight because quite frankly, the food was terrible. (I truly hope it was just a fluke because all of our previous visits have been outstanding) My partner ordered the burger which historically is hands down the best burger in town. However he ordered it medium rare and it came out rare. It also had unsliced cherry tomatoes on it which was odd and made it difficult to bite into and eat. The bun was charred to the point it was crunchy and he didn’t even finish it. I had the Thanksgiving Prix Meal. The parsnip bisque was delicious but the turkey entree was inedible. The turkey was under cooked, the cranberry sauce tasted like it had legitimate cleaning chemicals in it, and the stuffing was subpar. I had a few bites and couldn’t stomach any more. My meal ended with a choice of pecan or pumpkin pie. I told our waitress I would like the pecan pie and I was brought the pumpkin instead. Why didn’t I say anything? Because you just don’t. I never send my food back or let the server know something is incorrect because you just never know what was done to the corrected meal in the kitchen. (I have seen the movie, Waiting, way too many times) Besides the 15 minute wait for my partner’s beer and the incorrect dessert order, the service was fine. Will we return next year? We aren’t sure to be honest. We enjoyed our time because we were together but I don’t know if we will come back. It’s a pricey place to eat and we felt wasted our money.

Best steakhouse we have tried since moving here!! Steaks were amazing, sides were absolutely delicious and dessert was a wow! Server was very knowledgeable and attentive! Manager walked around and checked with us multiple times! 5 star PLUS rating!

I’m not a yuppie type person but if you enjoy high prices with great service this will work. The food was very good. The attraction seems to be the pricing which is a little weird to me. Color me old fashioned. In all fairness we had 9 people and the restaurant was a little busy.

We’ve been to Oak multiple times due to outstanding experiences and superior quality of food. However, our experience last night was unfortunately disappointing. Each member of our party of 4 ordered a cut of steak and each unfortunately was cooked improperly (ex: my medium rare NY Strip was medium/medium well and tough). We ordered several drinks, sides, and bread orders. It was a surprising experience considering all of our other experiences were great. Unfortunately not worth the tab last night.

Always a great experience here ! The peach tart dessert was great however the description we expected it to be a sharing portion and it was tiny. Might suggest to note on the menu or to the servers to explain that this dessert is very tiny. Great food !!!

The host Nick was spectacular as always. I came in with my girlfriend and had a fantastic time. I don’t quite remember our servers name but every time I come here they’re all quick and attentive to all wants and needs.

The atmosphere and service is really good. The computers went down during our meal so it was really slow getting our meal. Our server was really good at explaining the dishes. The wine we got was excellent. The food was just ok. I ordered a 100 dollar bone in filet and it was cold. Maybe it was sitting in the window for a long period of time? I don't know but it was cold. My friends ordered the raviolo and it was just kinda odd. I think how they prepared it was weird. They should have put the nice piece of short rib on top of the large raviolo but instead it was mixed in. The quail was good and I liked the gnocchi. I think my favorite dishes were the grilled octopus and the bread. We had 4 of the sides and I think the best was the Brussel sprouts. I really think they could have made the food more flavorful for the price. All the dishes had good presentation but the majority of it was kinda boring and one note. All in all I think the experience was good but find the food to be lacking for the price. The prices are on par with STK of las vegas so I find it kinda high for a raleigh restaurant. My meal for 2 was $306 before tip which I have no problem paying as long as it is good food. It was just kinda basic and lackluster. The staff is what saved the experience.

Food was amazing… service was really bad. We watched as others that came after us receive drinks, food, and the check before us. We were told that it was because the computers were down however somehow everyone else was able to get what they needed. I would recommend if you are taking food to go.

This place was awesome! It was my husbands birthday and he always joked that he would just rather have steak over cake or something sweet. Well I made a request for a “steak cake” and they delivered! They brought out a small round steak with mashed potatoes piped on top to look like frosting with a lit candle. Everything from the steak, appetizers and drinks were all amazing. Thank you for making my husbands birthday so special!
