This is a true gem! Location is very understated, you just wouldn't expect to find such a superb meal and ambiance there, but nonetheless you do. We are local and go there year round. Sea food is fresh and expertly prepared, portions are generous, and staff always friendly. Had the best clam chowder of my life there (once when it was on special). Restaurant is small and intimate, but there is a second dining area in the back and some outdoor seating as well. Highly recommended. It's one of our favorites in the valley!

Love this place. Fun waitstaff, exciting menu. I had octopus (hard to find). I joked with waiter about how octopus is often tough. He brought me a steak knife in jest. I returned it to him at the end of our meal with a smile — unused.

All 5 members of our party had different meals and each person was pleased. In fact, all 5 meals were completely consumed with nothing left on them! The service was attentive and friendly without being intrusive. Although not my meal, the fried oysters which were a special looked amazing and were reported to taste that way as well! I look forward to returning and highly recommend to anyone that they experience this!

Lots of choices on the menu,and then the special of the night group, and the selections at our table were all very good. The service was excellent and it was quiet in the back room, even though there was outside seating also available.

My wife and I always make it one of our favorite stops to have dinner when we stay in the desert. The food is outstanding and the people that work there are the greatest. Do yourself a favor if you enjoy seafood and pay Ocean's a visit.

Oceans runs like a well-oiled machine with experienced staff who display professionalism and attentiveness. The food is always outstanding and there’s a great selection of seafood, plus other options. Very friendly vibe overall at this restaurant. Our favorite restaurant in the Coachella Valley.

The restaurant offers a variety of fresh seafood prepared in classic Mediterranean and Californian styles. The menu includes dishes like bouillabaisse, paella, abalone sea bass, shrimp, scallops, lobster, swordfish, tuna, and oysters. We had the fresh oysters the Caesar salad, sand dabs and salmon. The oysters were fresh and flavorful, with fresh grated horse radish on the homemade sea food sauce. The Caesar salad was one of the best we have eaten, the romaine lettuce was crisp and crunchy, the croutons were homemade and toasted, and the dressing was creamy and tangy. The sand dabs were sautéed in olive oil with wine, lemon, and caper sauce, which adds a tanginess to the dish. Grilled salmon is a standout item on the menu. It was my birthday, and I was served an incredible carrot cake for dessert, rich, creamy, and flavorful. Oceans Restaurant in Cathedral City is an excellent choice for seafood lovers. Whether you’re a local or just visiting Cathedral City, Oceans Restaurant is worth checking out for its fresh seafood and welcoming atmosphere, kind, and efficient staff.

This is a small private owned restaurant that has been in business for over 30 years with the original chef, and it was easy to see why. It’s not a ‘fancy’ dress to impress place, but a quaint quiet restaurant with excellent fresh seafood at a reasonable price with attentive staff. If seafood is your thing, this is one not to miss. Overall a five star experience. If I lived in Palm Springs, I would be here at least a couple of times a month. I wish I could transplant this place to Lodi.

Our favorite neighborhood seafood restaurant in Palm Springs. If you try it just once you will be back. It can get busy so reservations are recommended. Just don't ask for the table next to the fishtank -- that's our table!

Absolutely amazing experience. From the very moment we walked up to the entrance, we (party of 4) were greeted by name and our table was ready for immediate seating even though we arrived about 20 minutes early. That first impression set the stage for the rest of the evening, which was full of great hospitality and amazing food. As we were browsing the regular menus, our server brought a giant whiteboard up to our table with all of the specials of the day listed for us and helped us with the choices. I picked a bottle of wine and a couple of appetizers for the table, which arrived promptly and kept us entertained until the main courses arrived. For main entrees, we picked surf and turf, Chilean seabass, and Caribbean lobster tail as well as the paella to share. All of the dishes were absolutely fantastic in taste and presentation. Needless to say, we will be back on our next visit to Palm Springs! My parents frequently come here from LA, but had never tried the restaurants in the area outside of the Casinos, I’m glad that we tried Oceans this time and you will not regret the decision to dine here either. Thank you all for an excellent experience.
