Inside a blissful cloud of Afro beats on Malcolm X Blvd and W 125th street, Chef Cisse is testing the limits of fine dining through his latest, most upscale effort; PB Brasserie Steakhouse—a decolonized African French spot joining the ranks of iconic black establishments like the Apollo Theater 8 minutes away. While PB Brasserie offers all day dining, we sat for the dinner service on my birthday and it was lovely, from the deshelled escargot, buttery garlicky perfection on its own, to the whole branzino with caramelized onions that reminded me of bole and fish from my riverine hometown in Nigeria—my last thought as we closed out the restaurant: ‘worth it.’ Verdict— Encore: i know this is a steakhouse but their fish was delightful, herby, smoky and a little sweet, truly a trip down memory lane🐟 Cut the cameras: escargot?!? This was the bomb.com and my first time trying it, why all the snail slander? Surprise surprise: Senegalese jollof isn’t bad 👀even though I know who’s winning the jollof wars 🤷🏾‍♀️ #steakdinner #jollof #harlemnights #harlem #africanfood

I was very impressed with the Wednesday prix fixe menu, the quality of the food was very good. And will definitely recommend PB Brasserie to others..

Making this review as I’m currently still in the restaurant as that’s how disappointed I am with this place. My reservation was at 7 we didn’t get our food until 8:45 and with the prefix menu by the time we got to dessert they didn’t have was majority of my party ordered. We opted for the cheesecake & it was frozen. I got the 6 oz filet well done and it took 3 tries to get it right. They are more worried about social media than the customer it seems after watching the owner or head chef do everything but be in that kitchen making sure people get their food correctly. We saw 2 tables get up and leave because the wait time is ridiculous. Just noting that’s it’s 9:35 and we are still here because our waiter is taking forever to take the check. I HIGHLY DON’T RECOMMEND.

Staff need to do a better job at checking on the guest, example if the customers drink is empty maybe simply ask would you like another one? Bartenders do not notify customers about happy hour. The wait time for the food took waaaaaay too long.

Me and my wife had a fantastic time there she had the salmon and the seafood salad. I had the mac & cheese and the half of chicken and a side of mashed potatoes didn’t get a chance to eat the chicken that macaroni and cheese is banging we will be coming back and don’t get twisted that mashed potatoes also begging I enjoyed the atmosphere. My wife and I live right across the street from the first store. We’re gonna go over there too, but overall, the second one seems to be the go to.

The atmosphere is beautiful. The service was great and professional. The food was delicious and seasoned perfectly. The owner was kind and welcoming to us. Definitely will become one of my favorite places to dine.

I visited PB Brassiere last Sunday, and it was a delightful experience from start to finish. Ambiance and Decor The decor of the establishment truly stood out.
