You can now enjoy our award-winning rotisserie chicken and American burgers at the hive football club, home of Barnet FC. Located on Camrose Avenue in Edgware, we have taken football food into another league! Whether you are watching the bees, playing at the ground or attending an event, pecking order provides quality chicken platters, burgers and salads for the entire family. Our restaurant is located in the main stand of the stadium and you can choose from all your favourites such as Coca-Cola wings and macaroni and cheese. We also have a special match-day menu and with over 120 seats in our restaurant, you can visit us any day of the week!

Excellent food quality. Delightful staff. We did have to wait a bit too long for drinks but as it was the last day of the season and the biggest ever crowd at The Hive we forgive them as they were so busy

We booked this on what was a very busy day at The Hive as it was Barnet fc last league game. Unfortunately when we arrived the gentleman that showed us to our seats looked very stressed and it seemed he was alone dealing with all the tables. There were no other staff around Two of our party had the Southern Fried Chicken Wings the chicken was nicely cooked but there was certainly no Southern Fried taste in fact the coating didn't taste of anything! Luckily we had the sauces.

With only one waiter for the entire shift, he tried his best to accommodate everyone. The waiter's personal service was fantastic but the experience was left cold as his attention was floating around looking after other customers as the football game finished. This made our food turn cold as we saw the food laying idle for some time awaiting to be picked up. We addressed this to the waiter and an apology was issued but nothing else.( could of offered to warm up the food ) The menu is terrible, Previous visits to the Stanmore Branch was superb with great customer service and quality of food. I visited Pecking Order at the Hive once before from which the chef had to leave early due to an emergency ( which is understandable ). So the waiter/manager cooked our food which was a surprise to me. This limited the order to just fried food where Pecking Order is known for its Rotisserie chicken. We ended up with Chicken and Waffles which was delicious but it wasnt what I really wanted to order. On this trip the menu shrunk to just 4 items - half chicken, burger or veggie burger followed by fries and rice. This is a HUGE disappointment as the portion size has actually shrunk but more importantly with such a small menu the food still came out mediocre and cold - not the Pecking Order I'm used to since been an avid fan of the Stanmore Branch. Further more, upon leaving and picking up our ticket coin from Starbucks next door - they serve the SAME CHICKEN as Pecking order from which I asked the Barista - is this the chicken from Pecking Order from which she confirmed. I found this very unusual and the Manager of this establishment is cutting alot of corners which in turn is impacting his menu and staff from which the customer experience is left ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING. Never again and DO NOT RECOMMEND

Sadly don't recommend this restaurant at all, if you're after a good food experience. I guess it has a good vibe for an average pub (and food quality to match) but won't be going back! Overpriced for extremely unflavoured food and we were left waiting to seat and practically serve ourselves. Shame, because my bf loved it when it was back in Stanmore and highly recommended it. Disappointed!

As always a great meal the main annoyance was that it was match day so there was a match day menu (with no chicken wings) and we had to pay £5 for match day parking! Is it possible matchday dates are advertised on the booking form? We would have chosen a different day to visit.

Attended post Barnet lunchtime match at the Hive. Very limited match day menu, no fish dishes, just a bean burger for non meat eaters. A fish burger or similar would be appreciated. Also quite expensive for what we had,

Went the Pecking order at the Hive before a Barnet game. Table was reserved for 13:00, but due to an accident on the M1 we were late arriving. Not a problem, called them and they held the table for us. Both had burgers, beefburger for me, and chicken for my partner, and these were lovely. Being in a bar of a football ground it was noisy, but that was ok, because that's what we went for. Service was great, and when we had finished we were not hurried out of our seats, but allowed to finish our drinks in our own speed,

The meal was good - burger was excellent. Chicken waffle was tasty with the sweetness of the waffle. Staff were attentive. Location is great for Barnet FC and match days, however, on this occasion lacked atmosphere because it was a Friday evening, 7pm and the restaurant was empty.
