Very quiet si no atmosphere. Food was average and i felt what i ordered (mushroom bourginon pie) was very overpriced. Pie servedcwith frozen chips and garden peas.

The place is lovely service very good the only complaint we had was the beef was very tough and I left it. Lovely veggies if it wasn't for the beef I would've given 5 stars. E.g. if I'd had the turkey it would've been 5 stars. Have been here lots of times and this is the first time I've had to complain

Hi Diane, thank you for your kind words and for visiting us so often. We’re sorry the beef was tough and disappointing, though we’re glad you enjoyed the vegetables and service. We appreciate you letting us know and hope to welcome you back.

My husband, for his Sunday lunch roast ordered pork and I had turkey. When our meals arrived, my husband’s meal had a pork chop instead of slices of pork. The cabbage/kale? Was sliced so thin it was hard to pick up with a fork and seemed undercooked. Usually our meals at The Plough have been very good, no issue at all but this was disappointing.

Hi Ruth, thank you for your feedback. We’re sorry your Sunday lunch was disappointing, particularly the pork and the cabbage. We’re glad you’ve usually enjoyed your meals with us, and appreciate you letting us know where this one fell short.

It’s the first time we’ve visited but won’t be the last, the young lady who served us was really nice and chatty, the food was great and we had a lovely evening.

Not sure there is a chef. All pre prepped meals and mostly deep fried.
