From renowned restaurateurs, Jen and Josh Ziskin, Punch Bowl is inspired by the historic 18th century tavern that Brookline was once famous for. The Ziskins have rekindled the spirit of the Punch Bowl and have recreated a communal gathering place in the heart of the village. Chef Josh Ziskin prepares cuisine that features his contemporary take on traditional New England fare and focuses on a variety of local farms and seafood. Punch Bowl has a slew of signature cocktails influenced by Brookline’s unique history and vibrant location. Enjoy Jen’s all female wine list inspired by the female Inn Keepers of the late 1700’s. Guests feel immersed in the city while seated in the light-filled dining room featuring floor to ceiling windows, an open kitchen and a state-of-the-art bar. For guests who would prefer to dine outdoors, Punch Bowl also offers a large patio area on the ground floor as well as a roof deck terrace with phenomenal views of Brookline and its’ historic Muddy River.

This was our second experience dining here and it confirmed my opinion after our first experience. As much as I would like this restaurant to succeed, they need to work on the quality of the food. Two meals in which the color of the food was mostly brown/ beige, e.g. very little of green vegetables. The fish in my Fish and Chips entree was mediocre although the fries were excellent.

The short American fusion menu is well'selected. The dishes were delicious and finely presented. Service was friendly and attentive. Since this is a hotel restaurant, it is open and available when others are closed for holidays.

This was my 2nd visit and it wasn't nearly as good as I remembered, sadly. I loved the crispy brussel sprouts but the salad, except for the grilled chicken, was underwhelming. Spotty service too.

I immensely enjoyed the special Portuguese wine dinner at Punch Bowl! The winemaker, Andrea Tavares da Silva, was present to introduce her exceptional wines. Chef Josh Ziskin prepared superb courses well selected to pair with the wine. The service was attentive, and the Ziskins "caught me up" on the dinner despite being very late due to a flight delay.

The food at Punch Bowl is consistently great! We ate late this evening and we wished our server told us that the kitchen was closing so we could have put in a dessert and coffee order. Now we know to check in the future.

Punch Bowl serves an excellent range of American fusion dishes paired with creative cocktails and a fine wine list. The staff was excellent in making recommendations and dividing servings so my friend and I could sample more. Try the excellent roast Brussels sprouts!

Bar does not have cocktail onions. Needs a change of menu.

We enjoyed our experience here. It was the perfect place to dine with our family, including our two young grandchildren. The menu was varied and everyone found meals they enjoyed. The kids’ menu was great too. Our server was a kind young man.

I had high hopes for their food. It was not good. I wouldn’t go back. We were disappointed. They have a good PR person but the kitchen isn’t living up to the hype

It was a really cute splace. Ambiance was relaxing after a long day. Food was good and drinks top notch! Service was really slow though for it being a slow night. Overall it was good.
