We enjoy dining at the better restaurants and candidly, we expected more. They have a fabulous bartender who created his version of an Old Fashion, very good. Tomato salad excellent. Due to limited menu my wife who does not eat red meat had choice of Sable or cauliflower steak. She chose the cauliflower and it came in bland with little to no effort of adding taste. I chose double pork cut which is a favorite. Apparently, the menu and what was served were in conflict as it was not the same as the print. The lentils did nothing to complement the pork and there was no sauce to go with pork. While this dish may be on some menu, it was not on mine and I would not have ordered nor recommend it with lentils. Left the chop and enjoyed the carrots.

Eva was a fabulous server who took great care of us and made the evening fun. The Manager was also very attentive. Wine & Beer selection was excellent. We shared a couple of tasty appies. Then had the “New” Double Cut Pork Chop was melt in your mouth delicious and a beautiful cut. Even though we were relatively full the desert selection was too good to pass. The Quartermaster is a Must Do stop in Revelstoke. See you hopefully on a ski trip this winter. Fans from Canmore !

Our experience started on a tough note when we walked in and received a rather unwelcoming reception from the hostess, who flatly told us we could only be accommodated at the bar despite a few empty tables being visible on the upper level. We decided to pass, but I checked online immediately after leaving and noticed an open reservation slot just 10 minutes later. After booking it and walking right back in, we were seated by the same hostess, who mentioned they don't normally take tables at that hour which was puzzling since their own website still showed two additional open booking slots. Fortunately, once we were seated, our actual server was great and completely turned the evening around with fantastic service. We ordered an appetizer, some great cocktails, and three entrees; while the appetizer and two of the entrees were very good, the fish dish was a letdown and did not taste fresh. Overall, the drinks and most of the food were enjoyable, but the portions are quite small for the price and the food took a long time to come out.

Absolutely gutted with our experience here. In all my life I’ve never had to send a meal back to the kitchen, we had to send back 3 of 6 of our plates. Service was nice but the food was 100% not cooked by a professional. Mussels and broccolini both arrived cold, and 1 dish was still cold after being taken back to be recooked. We were very disappointed when one of the dishes advertised as a grilled romaine, did not arrive cooked at all, just cold raw lettuce. We brought this to someone’s attention, who after conferring with the chef came back to confidently inform us it was ‘flash cooked in a special way’ or something along those lines. It’s just an honest mistake that I’m sure happens when changing a menu around, but we really did not appreciate the dishonesty in his response, and it also reflects a clear lack of training for your kitchen staff. We declined a re-do because we just didn’t have the time or confidence it would come back cooked. Something is seriously amiss here, I find it very hard to forgive such a poor dining experience from somewhere charging such high prices and with a good reputation. We came ready to celebrate and left having not even had a hot meal. Super disappointing!

Wine was good. Staff was good. Ambiance was very good. Korean Fried chicken was good. Cauliflower was ok. Overall I would not go back because the food choices were not what I like and the seasoning was unusual and not what I would choose to eat. I think maybe I just prefer regular seasoning & basic everyday preparation of foods.
