Historically, rara avis refers to a “rare bird” — something extraordinary, unique, and seldom seen. In modern slang, it often refers to a child prodigy or a person of exceptional talent. This name bridges the cultural heritage of RCC with our culinary identity — a one-of-a-kind restaurant experience that blends the artistry of an Italian steakhouse with the precision of sushi craft. Wasn't even aware until I googled "new restaurants " and up popped Rare Bird. What a pleasant surprise! Entire staff were outstanding - friendly, welcoming. Cocktail was delish!! Vodka, ginger, etc. We shared the harvest salad - so good. I had the short rib gnocchi - very tasty. The only part that was a little off was the barrata (?). It seemed it was right out of the fridge vs room temp, which brought down the temp of the dish. My partner had the pork chop and loved it - except the asparagus. They were the really thin ones and were a bit overcooked because of that. But overall, really enjoyed. We came later and that's a time when things were emptying out so it was quiet. I would suggest going around 7 for a livelier vibe. There was only one downside, which had nothing to do with the restaurant. As we were on dessert, an older man and a young man in his 30s sat next to us. Both in work sweatshirts :( the kid stared at his phone , not a big deal. But the older guy wouldn't shut up about having a 'watch party' which is in relation to an upcoming barbaric event. He also made disparaging comments about certain ethnicities, which really did not sit well with us. But what can you do. That aside. I thought Rare Bird was great. Look forward to returning!

Comfortable ambiance, friendly staff, my meal was very good. I want to eat outside while weather is so nice! Looks really nice out there.

We had a great time for ladies night. We sat outside and it was a gorgeous view! Then when it got too chilly we went inside and sat at a table while listening to a great guitar acoustic.

We thoroughly enjoyed rare bird. The setting overlooking the lake was magnificent. Service was excellent. Porterhouse was a bit expensive and was good not great. Rolls that you had to pay for were also good not great. Loved the Ceaser salad, tuna tartare, burata, French fries and all of the sides that we got with the steak. Chocolate dessert was amazing. Will definitely be back!!

A lovely dining experience. The atmosphere is sophisticated. Had a great view of the lake and the golf course. Our server, Olivia was helpful and engaging. Food came out quickly but was not rushed. The spicy, tuna, roll appetizer was delicious as was our dinner and dessert. Will be back.

We had a wonderful time for our anniversary dinner! Armando took excellent care of us, and the food was beyond amazing! It really made our anniversary so special.
