Key West seafood restaurant in the heart of old town on Petronia. The menu is kept small so that everything is nice and fresh for you. Yellowtail snapper, fish of the day, Key West pink shrimp, and seafood medley highlight the menu.
Deviled eggs topped with scallops, squash stuffed with crabmeat, and lobster crepes tantalize the pallet. Beef stroganoff made with certified black angus beef is a favorite. Relaxing, unpretentious, and romantic. Seating is very limited. 24 Hour Cancellation window. BEER AND WINE AVAILABLE.

We had a wonderful first night in Key West dinner. The grilled ceasar salad, the yellow snapper and the seafood medley were delicious plus the key lime pie and coconut cream pie were excellent

We were a party of 6 and all of us thoroughly enjoyed our evening at Red Shoe. The food was delicious: specifically the appetizers of deviled egg topped with scallops, shrimp toast, Caprese salad; the dinners of beef stroganoff, red snapper, yellowtail snapper, spicy shrimp, and scallops. The wait staff was also very attentive and gracious. Just wonderful!

We loved our dinner. The server was excellent and the feel of the restaurant and quality of food were just great. Loved the pear salad, I had the shrimp in the sweet chili sauce. My husband had the snapper which was excellent . The key lime pie was way above average. Has a flight of caymus wines which was reasonable and fun change of pace. We will definitely be back..

The menu is limited and every choice is perfection. Extensive wine list. Reasonable prices. Reservation highly encouraged. Two seatings a night (6pm and 8pm) - don't be late!

Very inventive menu, lots of local cuisine such as Key West shrimp and Key Lime pie. The food was fresh and well prepared. Our server was very attentive and pleasant. Highly recommend!

This was fantastic find for us. Best restaurant if you want a intimate, quiet date with amazing food. The service was great. Parking is a little hard so arrive early.

The hot wife and I had our first meal at Red Shoe after having experienced many of the excellent restaurants in Key West over the years. We enjoyed the experience and will return. My read on Red Shoe is that it has a more casual vibe and emphasizes really good food over presentation and frills - and that makes for a really nice evening. I came away feeling less like I was in a restaurant and more like a friend was hosting us for a meal they were proud to prepare for us. That made it easy to relax and banter with Chris, who was relaxed and attentive at the same time. The shrimp toast was large and definitely a sharing size. The watercress and pear salad was light and a perfect next course before our delicious snapper main course. Nice wine list and yummy sounding desserts, but we skipped the sweets. A nice offering and ambiance.

The best restaurants in Key West are OFF Duval. This little gem was one of our if not the best dinner while in Key West. If your restaurant isn’t on the main strip you have to have better service and food and this really hit the bill

We had an absolutely wonderful dinner! My husband and I shared the delicious mango shrimp toast as an appetizer and then each got the signature dish, yellowtail snapper. Simply outstanding! Our server, Chris, was wonderful! Highly recommend.

Great meal. Jordan, our server was nice and knowledgeable. They were out of the yellow snapper but substituted red snapper in its place and it was fantastic. I was between the seafood medley and scallops and Jordan steered me towards the medley, it was awesome. The noodles were cooked perfectly, sauce was good and a generous portion of seafood. Couldn’t recommend this place more!

The first visit to The Red Shoe was interesting. Packed on a Saturday night, in an attractive Key West tropical room with subdued lighting and candles, it seemed welcoming and appealing. The charm and expected excellence ended there. The very pleasant but embarrassingly inexperienced older waiter was knowledgeable about nothing. We ordered a very nice Coppola red that was fairly priced. He had great difficulty with the uncorking leaving the foil and crumbled cork. We shared the excellent shrimp mango toast which was first rate and ample. It crashed from there! Four cold overcooked seafood entrees - shrimp and the famous yellowtail snapper. Not at all good. A most disappointing evening for half-year unfussy locals who adore Key West! How sad!

They only do two dinner seatings per night. Overall dervice was good, but it took an incredibly long time to get our entrées. Would’ve been nice of the waiter stop by a bit to give an update on how much longer our entrees would take. The food was very good, but not exceptional. We did enjoy the fish dishes and Caesar Salad with grilled Romaine, though the Romain should have been grilled more.
