For three decades the name Riccio has been synonymous with fine dining in the desert. Richard and Patricia Riccio set the bar for outstanding Italian cuisine 40 years ago when they opened the original Riccio’s in uptown Palm Springs. Two of their sons, eager to carry on the family tradition, last spring unveiled Riccio’s Steak and Seafood with a new menu concept in a higher profile location downtown. Service and personal attention have been the Riccio’s hallmark and they pledge to continue this tradition.

For the casual diner, Riccio’s offers a relaxed patio presentation for watching downtown Palm Springs unfold while sampling their intriguing, seasonally changing menu. Riccio’s bar faces lively Palm Canyon Drive, and picture windows frame a sculptural fountain.

Seated right away with our reservation. The server was friendly and helpful. Food was delicious, we got a mix of steak and seafood and we all were very happy with our choices. We got a special cannoli for the birthday we were celebrating. Location is great, right in town, parking east. Walkable from many hotels. Would definitely visit again

We visit this restaurant following the reviews from open table. Unfortunately, this was a very disappointed experience. The quality of the bread was very poor, the olive oil was really bad. I order the tuna and the quality was not the greatest and the vegetables were undercooked. The risotto also was extremely bad. We normally visit an average of four restaurants a week nationwide. This is our first visit to Palm Springs and so far this place is over rated. I hope this helps future visitors

It was our first visit to Riccio's and we were glad we went! The food was great and the service was even better. The prices were very reasonable compared to other steakhouses in the area. Nice outdoor patio that was comfortable even in the hot Palm Springs night. Will definitely return again.

I thought the food was great and the staff was so personable. I really enjoyed trying something new in the area. We alway eat at the same restaurant and glad we ventured out. I would highly recommend this restaurant.

Delicious food and impeccable service. Escargot, chicken, veal, and lobster ravioli were all well prepared. Great wine selection. Never had to wait longer than 5 seconds to catch someone's eye for a drink order. Already looking forward to a future visit.

We go here often because the food is fabulous and consistent. Dan, the owner, greets us each time and makes us feel welcome. I think this is the best Italian restaurant in Palm Springs.

We started eating at Riccio"s in the late-early 80's and when they moved we lost track of them until last year. We are now returning and the food is still great. So glad we found them again. We enjoyed the Halibut, caprese salad, Canelloni and of course the desert. Oscar took care of us and did a great job. We can not wait to return

The service staff and hosts are very friendly and efficient. The restaurant is right on Palm Springs Drive. The patio is picturesque with little lights and all of the tables have nice table cloths. The interior was okay. We were tucked away at a table that felt cramped. I had the scallops and caesar salad. I loved the caesar salad but was unimpressed with the scallops. My husbands spaghetti bolognese was tasty and full of flavor.

We were happy with the service, friendly and efficient. The food was disappointing, from the bread ( basic) linguini and clam ordered with extra garlic was not and mushroom risotto was gritty ( maybe mushrooms not cleaned).

Wait staff was very nice. The food was bad! We had chicken parmigiana which was basically wet chicken with cheese on it. The chicken Marsala was also wet and brown. The salad was hot. But the service was good!

The service was outstanding from the moment we were greeted at the door. I believe his name was Danny, so kind. Our waitress was outstanding. The only hiccup was my scalloped dinner the scallops were not hot. The veges were the same and the potatoes warmed over not freshly cooked. I would return to give it another try.

This restaurant is $$$ not $$. The menu prices are almost doubled. For $$$, it was not worth the price. The meal was just okay, not fine dining prices. All of the employees were too eager to take plates away while we were still eating and there was no one else there. No need to rush us for a $80/person meal while all the other tables were empty.

My wife and I celebrated there beginning of June her birthday. Great steaks, ask for chilled wine, great service, very accommodating. Even talked to the owner, great guy. Should be top 3 for everyone visiting Palm Springs. We will be back.

Had drinks and shared a few appetizers on a quiet Monday evening. Intended to order entreés as well, but the bread and apps were basically inedible, so we called it a night. While not exceptional, service was the only acceptable component of our visit to Riccio’s.

Filet mignon (if it was a filet) was tough and sinewy. Stuffed cannoli was stuffed with meat the consistency of cat food. Clam chowder was much too salty The wait staff was good and attentive. We will never go back.

The customer service was excellent and the meal was delicious! I ordered a side of sautéed mushrooms to go with my Filet Minot and the portion size was enough for 3 people. The prices were reasonable, the portion sizes were what we would expect and both of our meals were cooked to perfection! Well done! We enjoyed our 35th wedding anniversary dinner to the max!

This was by far the worst food I’ve ever had. The lobster bisque was cold and sour. The steak was precooked and grey in color. The lobster smelled like ammonia which means it was spoiled. We left right after the entrees were delivered … the owner hid in the back when we asked to speak with him.
