   This was 8:00 on a Wednesday. Only about 3 patrons there. The waiter seated us with menus. He came and took our order: a $20 bottle of pinot grigio, and two chicken picattas. He came back with the wine and asked if we wanted menus. I reminded him that he had already taken our order. We drink cheap ($4.99 a bottle) pinot grigio all the time. This pinot was the worst we have ever tasted, no flavor at all. Unfortunately the name was not memorable. The chicken finally came. It was not very hot, like it had set for a while. Everything on the plate tasted good but only warm. The chicken itself was over-cooked and hard to cut.

   Our reservation for 7 guests was at 6pm they Over booked, waited 45 minutes before seated, they were short handed and needed more help, the manager of the place was our server and she did a fantastic job very apologetic and great sense of humor and service , the food came out very slow, the food was great the drinks were great the Moms had a good time but it was very slow going.

   Perhaps something happened to their cooks...maybe they quit right there and then?! We went to Romano's on Mother's Day and waited one hour to receive our food from the time we ordered it. There were two other families near us and they both stormed out after waiting that long and still not getting their orders. Our waiter was nice and all the waiters looked stressed because their customers were getting angry at the slow pace of service. I didn't blame the waiters but I just wished the manager or someone had told us what was happening in the back.

   Apparently half of the staff called out, including the manager, on Mother’s Day. We arrived at 1pm for our 1pm reservation. The host line was at least 10 parties deep with no one at the host stand. People with 12pm reservations had been waiting an hour. We decided to leave since with just 5 employees, lunch would have turned into dinner. Poorly run operation. No wonder their other Austin area locations closed.

   We waited over 30 minutes in a line of over 20 ppl with no communication from staff and no one being seated. Left without being seated or spoken to. I understand being short staffed but there should have been some communication to the line of people on Mothers Day waiting.

   Made reservations for Mother's Day. But the restaurant said the hostess, 3 waitstaff, cook and the manager all did not come in. We waited for 2 hours past our reservation time. However, the waitstaff that was there were wonderful. They hussled the best they could and still smiled. The food was mediocre at best.

   Had reservations at 11:45 on Sunday. Arrived 11:20 and asked to wait for reservation time even though restaurant was 10 percent full. Not a problem. Hostess last seen at 11:30. Line of 25 people by 11:50. No one seated since 11:30. Those seated had to wait 20-30 minutes for drinks and to have order taken. Finally gave up and left at 12:10. Hostess still had not shown back up. A number of others had left. Most of those seated at 11:30 (restaurant less than 1/3 full) still didn't have food. If you can't handle at least the reservations because of staffing or other issues the restaurant needs to communicate this to patrons. Wasted an hour of our time and will never visit this restaurant t again.

    Our reservation for 10 at Mother’s Day didn’t happen. When we arrived to our reservation, we waited 50 minutes at the entrance, just waiting to be seated. After 50 minutes, we asked what was the delayed. The tables were empty and the line at the entrance was huge. There was no host so we have to PHONE call the restaurant to figure out that they had no waitresses working that day. They could have told us that when we arrived 🤷🏻‍♀️ any way, we ended up buying McDonald’s and ate at a public place. It turned out great for us… to bad for Romano’s Mac & Grill 😝

    Arrived on time and hostess sat us promptly. This is the only good part of the review. We sat for nearly 10 minutes with no greeting from our server. We waved the hostess over to let her know. We saw her approach a server and speak to him; they had a bit of a lengthy conversation. Afterward, the server approached and asked what we'd like to drink—no apology for the delay or explanation. After our drinks were served and our order taken, we asked for bread. It took more than a reasonable amount of time, but it eventually arrived. Salads and soups were served; dishes were cleared from the table. Then, we waited, and waited, and waited some more. The server came and told us there would be a delay in the food because there is only one cook now, and they are behind. Finally, our food began to arrive . . . in episodes. One by one we received our food, and by the time the first person finished their dinner, the last person received their food. The server told us we could order complimentary dessert for the lengthy delay in the meal; we ordered chocolate cake. The cake was very good. As for the food, my mom's food which was the second plate to arrive was cold. My cousin-in-law's food which the last the arrive was burnt. They ordered the same thing. My food was room temperature. My cousin's food was room temperature, too. I will say that we were not the only ones to have such a terrible experience. Other tables with the same server could be seen to be bothered by the lackluster service, and all the tables were experiencing delays in their food which was also being delivered in episodes. After we paid the check and we leaving, we walked past the manager (who never came to any of the tables to explain or apologize) who wished us a good evening with a glum look on her face. I am certain it was embarrassment.

    The food is always good. My favorite is Pomodoro Tortellacci. I took my daughter-in-law and grandson there and they also enjoyed it. I'm sure it'll be a favorite place to go to when they visit Round Rock.

    2 servers. For the entire restaurant. Wifes chicken was overly cooked and my sons salmon was raw. Place was a ghost town. Sounds like everyone got the memo but us to avoid that place

    Went to the Macaroni Grill w the family. service was friendly and paced, although a little slow at times - but overall really good. Food was very good with one exception - the gluten free Alfredo was tasteless and the regular Alfredo almost tasteless. This was a letdown, but we'll know not to order it in the future. The chicken scallopini and the truffle Mac n cheese were amazing. Highly recommend the Macaroni Grill!

    Was a good dinner to celebrate my son's birthday. Food was fresh and good, service was patient and friendly. The restaurant was expecting a large party so it was quite empty. BUT we were also early (bird) timing. Gave my son a free birthday dessert and a military discount. I appreciate those things!

    This time the Macaroni Grill hit it out of the park! We came in for dinner and were greeted and seated immediately. Service was attentive and the chicken scaloppine delicious as ever. The staff and atmosphere were welcoming and we felt at home. Will be coming back for sure.

    Worst experience! Despite having valentine reservation, we were asked to wait for 45 mins. The receptionist noted down our name in the register. I am not sure if they understand the purpose of reservation. Also, the staff was rude. We left the place without eating as it was our special day, didn’t want to ruin it.

    I made an Opentable reservation weeks before Valentines day for a nice dinner with my wife. When we arrived at our appointed time and were told the wait would be an hour, even with a reservation. Needless to say we didnt wait, and without reservations we couldnt get in anywhere else. Our nice Valentines day dinner was ruined.

    This is the worst Macaroni Grill in the whole U.S. We have gone to Macaroni Grill's all over the U.S. and the service in this one was the worst of any I have been. Literally worst service than any restaurant I have gone to over the last few years. Our server was slow and did not bring our appetizers, our drinks and we had to beg over and over for even simple things like sweeteners for Iced Tea. The food was mediocre and expensive. My aribiata sauce was flavorless and my pasta was missing items. So, I highly do not recommend going to the Round Rock Macaroni Grill. Ironically, we stopped off at Dairy Queen on the way home which gave us our food warm and quickly and which was better tasting.

    Making reservations here was a joke. We arrived on time, but 45 mins later we still had not been sat, and there were supposedly three reservation groups ahead of us, also still waiting to be seated. We ended up just leaving, especially after hearing a group that was walking out saying it took two hours to get their food and the food wasn't even good.

    It was Christmas Day and there was a packed house. The wait staff was very attentive but t due to volume, service was slow. The entree was not to MY liking. However, I attribute this to my taste. My dinning companion was pleased with her choices.

    Arriving at 1:10 for a 1:15 reservation, we were told we would not be seated for 30 minutes, although there were several empty tables. Then we were told even when seated it would be after 2:30 before could order. We did not stay.

    We arrived a little bit early, but we accommodated immediately. Server was exceptionally knowledgeable, courteous, friendly and fast. She was perfect and she knew where to draw the line as far as friendliness and professionalism. Food was excellent and the portions were perfect, which made it a great value. I would recommend this restaurant to anyone, and we'll go back often. It made the Christmas Eve just a wonderful experience.

    Ummm. Was this a joke? There was not a soul in the restaurant and the food was disgusting. The drinks were bad too. And our waitress (also the bartender?) Made the worst margarita I ever had. When she said she would fix it, she took my drink and poured it BACK into the shaker. I am sick. And then she taste -tested it ... So unprofessional

    Countless dirty tables. They sat us next to a wet floor sign and the ceiling was dripping while we ate. Appetizers were great but main courses were cold. I won’t be going back.
