Let me save you some trouble…If you want to eat at Saint & Second, drive to the LB location. My son and I took my husband out for a birthday dinner. We had a reservation at 6:30pm. When we arrived, the restaurant was fairly crowded, but not completely full. We ordered appetizers and meals and then waited. And waited. And waited. Our apps (bread and more bread) came out an hour after we arrived. One and a half hours in, our server assured us that they were “plating our food.” Another half hour later and just right around 2 hours after arriving, my husband and son were getting up to leave so they could get us a table at another restaurant. But just as they stood, their food was delivered. The server also told me that they were out of my entree, would I like to order anything else?? We figured we’d have to wait for food somewhere else, so my husband and son decided to eat their meals. My husband’s salmon was overcooked, the veggies looked desiccated, and the whole plate was in disarray (like it had been dropped and the food put back on). So finally the manager came over, apologized for the delay. They comped our meal, but it was in no way worth it. We’ve been to the LB location on a busy Saturday night and had a great experience. At that location the food was great, service was excellent and also celebrated a bday with a more festive environment. But I won’t be going back to this location. It was just so disappointing.

I absolutely love the food decor and our server was fantastic, but it was so sad and lonely and I think the main problem is this relatively newly opened restaurant is not maximizing their advertising! When my friend searched for it on Google, it didn’t come up or I think it might’ve said that it’s coming soon still… so it was a little empty and awkward because I think we were maybe one of three parties Dining there!

A very enjoyable experience. Service was superb and food delicious. We were there late afternoon so it was not too crowded. They also have a really nice bar. A little noisy but better than what we usually encounter at restaurants of late.

Had dinner here with two other ladies. I will say that the menu seems a bit limited. There are a lot of appetizers(several with beets or short ribs) and not a lot of main dishes. Also, the wine by the glass selection is pretty limited too. I will say our server Johnny was attentive and prompt. The food we had was good but I guess I was expecting a bit more for this restaurant in this location.

For the price, the food was bland, the service was slow and the drinks were not good. I have been to Saint & Second a couple of times in Long Beach and that location is much better. Nothing we had was good. I will not return to this location.

The waitress was nice but not as attentive as she could have been about refilling drinks. The chairs were so hard and uncomfortable that I had to switch to the bench. The area we were seated in lacked ambience for the price. Cheesecake Factory has better decor for lest money. They have no concept of timing. The meal came out while we were still finishing our salads. We ordered the Parker House rolls, wedge salad, risotto with scallops and steak frites. The Parker House rolls were more like a sweet bun than a traditional Parker House roll. The wedge salad was nicely chilled and delicious and the portion was generous enough for two to share as a starter. Their idea of risotto was some unappetizing mush or gruel that was a cross between mashed potatoes and grits and the plating was uninspired and unappealing. The grits they called risotto tasted okay but I couldn’t get past the fact that it was supposed to be risotto and was the texture of grits or overly mashed glue-like potatoes. There was too much citrus in the dish, which was overpowering and had an unpleasant bitterness to it. The fried cauliflower might have been good if it weren’t burnt. The scallops were small but well cooked and seasoned. We asked for the sauce on the side due to pepper sensitivity and it came on top of the steak and had to be redone. The fries that were supposed to have been fried in duck fat were no different than a fast casual restaurant fries. The second attempt at the steak was good, as it was well cooked and nicely seasoned. All and all, despite the fact that they did a good job on the wedge salad and the proteins were properly cooked, it was a very disappointing experience, especially given the prices.

Amazing job they have the best brunch options in the South Bay and the greeters managers and our waiter is always the best

Wonderful experience we had first dinner. My wife and I were celebrating our anniversary and brought our son with us. We were taken care if and the hospitality was amazing. The management team was very attentive, interactive and kind. Our server Oscar was great and gave us great recommendations with the menu choices. We chose the Manhattan Beach location over the Long Beach although the Long Beach was way closer to us. We will definitely come back to this restaurant location, but not just because of the food, but because of the great hospitality and how amazing they took care of us. Thank you!
