Sleeping Buffalo Dining Room features Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts’ signature Rocky Mountain Cuisine. The award-winning menu changes seasonally. The carefully selected wine list consists of vintages from the very best boutique producers from around the world and has something to satisfy all. The elegant and rustic dining room features high, knotty pine ceilings with exposed post and beams and has been recently updated for a more casual dining feel without sacrificing the quality of our menu. The displayed menus are subject to change without notice.
Due to excessive renovation of the dining and lounge area, our dining room has been moved to Wainwright room, located in the main lodge.

Fantastic food and service. Covid protocols make it feel somewhat empty and open, but they’re doing what is required during these times.

This was a weird dinner. We booked a 3 course dinner with the hotel reservation. Dinner reservation at 7:30. We had a mushroom flatbread and poutine as starters. The waitress warned us that they were not appetizer sized, but we had prepaid for the dinner so we were ordering two regardless. the poutine was excellent. The flat bread wasn't great, I ended up throwing out the leftovers. At 8:30 the waitress said it was last call, we didn't have our mains yet, so forget about having wine with dinner. We had the tenderloin and boar chop for mains. The meat on both plates was very good, seasoned well and cooked perfectly. Most of the sides were pretty plain but ok. The rye/leek bread pudding wasn't very good, very heavy on caraway. At 8:53 the music was shut off, we were still eating our mains. We got dessert to go. When looking at the menu ahead of time, we had planned to order a dessert that had rum pairings. Since the bar closed early, we did not.
