   This was our first time to try. We went as a family with grandparents from out of town. The servers were very pleasant and informed. The food was delicious!!! A very eclectic menu and our server even mentioned an off menu item that was divine! Would be a fun spot for local date night, special family dinner, bring out of towners, really anything. There was nice live guitar music that was really unexpected and fun! We will be back

   I’ve been here several times, and I love coming here for a slow dinner with friends. Expect service to be slow - it just is. But the cocktails and wine list are great, so relax and enjoy until the food arrives.

   We went for dinner. It's a coffee house/bakery/breakfast/lunch and dinner place. This place has so much potential but I feel they are still getting their feet grounded for their dinner concept. Service was lacking - long wait time for everything, water never filled up as there was only one server on our side. I had to walk up to the bar to send a drink back because our waitress was gone for so long and he told me to just let my server know what I wanted instead of just getting me my request. I was there because I couldn't find our server. Seating is very close together so you might as well chat up the people you are sitting next to. It seems as if they sat everyone together on one side of the restaurant and had man power difficulty serving 2 sides of the restaurant. Someone needs to rethink their bar menu and prices as they are ridiculous and very poor choices. I do not think anyone in 2023 wants a $20 long island iced tea! However, I could be wrong. We will be back to try breakfast /brunch as I am assuming that will be a home run. I want this place to work in this neighborhood and will support it, but our dinner experience was lacking in several areas. My husband did say his ribeye was spot on!

   We have dined at SoCo Bistro a couple of times for lunch and were excited to try it for our Valentine's Day dinner. Though it was a good experience overall, we were a bit let down from our expectations. First, the room is new and nice looking, but it's overlit and for the prices, it feels a bit too informal. The noise level was fine, but the room was only about 1/3 filled. The bar was slow, which is very common these days, and our drinks were okay, but not fabulous. My gin gimlet was odd; I couldn't figure out what was in it. My husband's steak was good, but not great or particularly flavorful. My creme brulee salmon was very good, as was the polenta under it, but there was a puree around it that I didn't love and couldn't figure out what it was made of. The rosemary fries my husband requested as his side were terrific, as usual, but he hates shaved brussels sprouts and would have ordered something different if he had known they were coming on his dish. I ate them, and they were pretty good, though a little underseasoned. We ordered the chocolate covered strawberries for dessert, and while the chocolate was tasty, the strawberries were flavorless. I know the theme of this review is about flavor, so I'm hoping that the restaurant finds its way and becomes a great neighborhood gem. We'll try it again on a non-holiday evening and see how things go.

    SoCo has always been great for breakfast/brunch, but their foray into dinner has been a blessing to the neighborhood. The entire staff is friendly, and food is thoughtful and delicious.

    Steak, burger and chicken and waffles were spectacular! Didn’t love my carbonara but that’s ok. Service was great too! Glad for a nice Lake Highlands dinner spot!

    Always a wonderful surprise when trying something new from the menu. The Wild Boar meat loaf and lamb shank were spot on. Oh but the desserts- Italian Creme cake with rich icing (not that off tangy creme cheese), and butterscotch pudding- light and creamy- no lumps! Plan to return soon.

    Had a great date night with my wife at Soco. To start I ordered and sold Fashioned and my wife ordered a nice Malbec. The owner came over and asked if we would like to try a new appetizer he was working on… a duck pâté’ with espresso mustard. It was amazing! For dinner I had the Spicy Prawns while my wife had the Spaghetti and meatballs. Both were fantastic but I think bext time I would get the spaghetti because with the burrata it was delicious. For dessert, I had an amazing bread pudding. We definitely will be back.

    We made a brunch reseravtion, entered the dining area and no one was to be found. We wandered into the cafe area and waited ten minutes before someone was spoke to us despite only 4 tables. Food took forever - very slow kitchen, one came out wrong, the other cold. Hashbrowns looked like they came from a freezer bag. We were on a time crunch at this point so we ate what we had and bolted. The pastry and coffee we ordered was quite good so I might come back for these items, but not for brunch. Shame with a nice ambience and a sweet server.

    Food was great! Recommend the Huevos Rancheros. The only complaint was coffee , just regular drip was Luke warm., and only had 1 server for our side of restaurant. He did the best he could and we appreciated the effort.
