   This was our first time trying Solita and we loved it. Plenty of options and everything tastes great. I just wish the tortilla chips were homemade. It’s the first thing you try when you sit down and they are obviously from a bag. Otherwise, the portions were perfect and plenty of good flavors and spice. We had the corn which is a must-try, ceviche, chicken verde, combo fajitas, and the pepper.

   Came here for the first time on a Friday night after a long work week. I’d like to start with the positives. The margaritas are great. We got two pitchers of Cadillac margaritas to share as a table of 4 and had a great time. The flavor of the food is great. We had two people in our parties with food allergies. Upon placing our order we asked to skip the item, as it’s an allergy, it was repeated back to us for confirmation, and then still showed up on the food. The food was taken back and took another 15 minutes for the replacement food to be fired up. That was disappointing. In addition to that, the noise level was insane for half capacity. They had live music and the man playing was way too loud for the ambiance and vibe that the rest of the restaurant had. You could tell the tables, not Just ours were all struggling to hold conversations. It just seemed unnecessary and borderline inappropriate for a Mexican restaurant to have soft rock covers playing too loudly. Would be open to giving another try eventually.

   We had a very nice time before we went to the theater. The service was great particularly our server Gabby. The managers were very attentive and the food was hot and fresh. We had a great time!

   This was our 4th time to the restaurant and was surprised at the poor service. Our order was placed incorrectly, our waitress never took our drink orders until almost 20 minutes after going to front hostess. Then drinks came out wrong and took another 20 minutes

   Second time to this newer restaurant. They are struggling with basic restaurant needs - slow drinks to the table, waiters that disappear and on this visit 20 minutes to get the check. Food is very good but if service does not improve, it’s going to be tough to survive downtown. We were 0 for 2 and won’t be back.

   Shelton was an amazing server. Helped us make our choices based upon preferences. Great flavor. Margaritas were the best we ever had. Live music on taco Tuesday and weekends. Great music. A bit noisy in general.

    I would definitely recommend this establishment! I found that reserving a table for our lunch hour helped so much! I also requested a birthday desert for my sister & didn’t have to mention it at all while there. They were on point with everything and my server was great!

    The location is great location if you are in town for an event at the Dr Philips. Walking distance to great food and drinks. First walking in it felt as though the AC was not working. Minor thing I can power through as it was spring and not summer in Florida. The staff was so friendly and welcoming! Getting our drinks took a while. Ok, so learned quickly to not be in hurry if you are trying to be on a schedule. The food was delightful! Had a happy hour menu to choose from. My biggest complaint was the server who was sweeping around us slamming the broom into the dust pan with every swipe! I get you have side work, I get you want to leave, but please be nonchalant. This went on for quit a while I even made eye contact as to say “you’re interrupting our meal”. She then proceeded to keep going slamming harder. Slow service and rude servers when cut do not over come decent food and drinks. Won’t be my first pick for a good location to an event.

    I really wanted to love this place as it is very close to the Dr Phillips and would be a great before show spot. However after tonight experience I can’t say I would ever go back. We arrived at 4:48 for our 5pm reservation. After a few moments we were addressed and able to check in. At 5:08 we still had not been sat but another party arrived and checked in for their 4:45 reservation, late. They were sat within 5 minutes - before us since their reservation time was before ours even thought they were very late. At 5:15 we were sat. At 5:28 no one had addressed us at all. Not a wave, no water, not acknowledging we existed. We waited about 3 more minutes and decided at this point there was no way we would be able to order, get food and eat before our 6:30 show and we got up to leave. We would have told the front desk person we were leaving except no one was around. Very disappointing experience to say the least!

    A tasty treat for downtown Orlando! The flavor starts with the chips and salsa! I tried the frozen margarita and for a sunny day it was really refreshing! We ordered the fish tacos and according to my teen who orders fish tacos everywhere we go Solitas fish tacos have been rated at the top! Crispy & full of flavor!!

    Second time going. They were very overwhelmed and seemed understaffed. We had a reservation and we’re seated over 15 minutes after the reservation. I did not get my margarita until when the dinner came out. They forgot to put the salt on the cup. The guacamole has Serrano pepper seeds in it and large pieces of the pepper, it was way too spicy. The tacos are delicious. They need more staff or less reservations. The server was also very overwhelmed.

    The restaurant was oversold on a very busy night downtown, so we weren’t seated for our 6pm reservation until 6:20. We had tix for a concert that began at 7:30, so we were under a bit of a time crunch, something that our server failed to ask about until we inquired as to the whereabouts of the food order we’d placed 35 minutes earlier. Long story short, kudos to management on duty for identifying issues with our server and going the extra mile to expedite our meals/drinks. This is a location that’s only been open for a couple of months, so I’ll chalk our experience last night up to growing pains, but they really need to improve the wait staff’s urgency in an effort to justify the premium priced Mexican food they serve

    We were excited to try this new restaurant (open about two months). It was the perfect spot for dinner prior to walking down to Dr Phillips Performing Arts Center. The food was very good and our server was very attentive, but the restaurant has some kinks to work out between the kitchen and bar. Our drinks came nearly 40 minutes after we ordered and it took close to 50 min to get our food (more than an hour beyond our reservation). By that time we had to rush to eat and get down to the play. But given the food and customer service of our server, we want to try again when things get worked out. However, we strongly suggest doing away with the live music. It is VERY loud inside even without music and the music makes it impossible to hear anyone talking. Unless the restaurant is going to work on overall acoustics/sound absorption, it is a huge detraction to have a musician.

    It was our first time dining at Solita downtown and it was undoubtedly a great experience. Our server, Ashley, was very welcoming, pleasant and on top of it. The entire staff appeared happy and eager to help which made the experience even more pleasant. The ambiance was casual friendly which blended well into the varied music selection. The Mexican street corn was AWESOME and it paired well with the Mezcal margaritas!!! The table side service of cutting the corn was a PLUS. This place hit all the marks for great food, service and experience.

    Appetizer was delivered with the meal. Shouldn’t our server have known to space out the meal? Salsa was not the same as the first time we dined there. It tasted like it had too much chipotle pepper added. When we asked the server about it, she said that it’s made fresh and the recipe doesn’t change. Since I do not like a strong chipotle flavor, it was not enjoyable. Server boasted that her service was going to be better than our previous visit. It was not. Our server from our first visit was excellent. This visit was a swing and a miss but we’ll give it another try.

    First time there, made reservations before concert. Very crowded because of the proximity to several venues around. Service under pressure of crowd was Excellent, server Tautiyau was attentive, professional and on top of her game. An absolute pleasure and phenomenal service despite standing room only. She explained menu options, advised portions, quick with drinks even though bar was over flowing. We were there Saturday 6pm, restaurant definitely cleared out some by 7pm. Overall, food was good, hot, flavorful, pretty quick but enjoyed cocktails after meal before concert. It was a lovely experience, we will be back again for sure, thank you for an enjoyable date night.

    It took over 40 minutes to receive our margarita orders that we placed as soon as we sat down. The live music was a weird vibe for the Mexican restaurant (playing one hit wonders like Wonderwall, etc.) Once our margaritas arrived, they were both terrible. The server did the best she could and comped us 2 rounds of drinks (which again were not great) and the food was just OK. Definitely better options in the city for a better price and significantly better service.

    The food was excellent, but our service was less than mediocre. We waited atleast 15 minutes before we were greeted by our server and another 15 minutes after that before we received our drinks. Our food was delicious, but certain things like condiments did not come out with our meal and by the time the server came back to check on us we were halfway through our meals. The restaurant is newly opened so we will try again after things settle down a bit.

    Live music was good, but in English. Once they took their break from singing radio played lousy slow and sad music in English. Restaurant is nice, uses Mexican culture and the enticement. Food had ZERO seasoning. Service was good, OVERALL sadly disappointed. Owners are definitely not Latino
