The fire place and the ambience took me back in time and it was such an interesting feeling! ✅vintage rooms & suites - no rooms are decorated the same way. Room 408 was absolutely stunning with pieces in the room that took me back in time. Some say this room is haunted so you know that there is history to be seen and heard here 👀 ✅fascinating backstory - with 115 years in the history books, it’s always fun to look back and learn what the hotel went through and why it is the way it is today ✅timeless atmosphere - the majority of the hotel has the look and feel of times in the past. In particular the lobby and the Fireside Room. I'm so disappointed to leave this review, the Sorrento has been a long time favorite. The food was bad, it arrived late, cold and limp. I actually returned mine; this is the first time I've ever done that. The hostess was loudly and dramatically acting like she was losing control of the nearly empty room. I was placed at a table for one for a reservation for two. Once service was underway, it was smirky. It was bad, what a loss. The Fireside room used to feel like visiting an old favorite friend; this felt like an overpriced disaster - what a loss.

We met at Stella before attending an event at Town Hall. The cocktails were fun and the food was delicious. We were seated in the bar, so the noise level was high, so if we needed a quieter experience next time I'd ask to be seated in the dining room. I'm so glad to have found a great place to meet and eat before my next event at Town Hall.

The burrata was wonderful! It was my first taste ever of persimmon, which was great. My lunch companion dug into the Reuben with great joy.

We were really staying at the Sorrento as a memory of many years past. We decided to have dinner in the fireside room instead of going out to a restaurant outside of the hotel. We’d actually had a nice little lunch salad there when we arrived. We didn’t know that we were in store for a really nice dinner. My wife said her halibut was perfect. A dish caught my eye that would not be something I would typically order which was lobster and pasta. It had the right amount of lobster without too much, the pasta was interesting. It was like the bottom of a pie, but perfectly cooked pasta with a lobster and a little sauce on top. It was really a beautiful dish. My wife said to me, we are coming back here again.

An event was going on in the bar so we were seated in the restaurant but we were still able to order from the bar menu; for me an amazingly delicious hamburger and house bucatini for my husband. Really great service and the food was so good.

Food was fine….staff member lacked training in opening up a bottle of wine. Service overall was underwhelming at best. . Had requested seating in restaurant and host placed in awkward lobby bar: setting.
