A first class lunch with friends. Good beer, excellent food and great service in a lovely traditional village pub. Thoroughly recommended.

Beautiful Sunday lunch with the family! Our roasts were delicious, kids portion was plentiful and our starters were very, very enjoyable. We had Irish coffees and desserts -overall a wonderful experience

The food was nice tasty no issue with food well presented had cod on crushed potatoes , desert menus slow and poor choice of deserts nothing light service slow very busy . Place a bit run down . Needs a face lift Overall good quality food environment has a grungy feel dress down . Not our kind of place a bit dirty .

This pub has a variety of seating and rooms to suit all. We ate here twice in late September 2026. A Sunday roast (one of each - Pork and Beef) which were both outstanding, and 2 meals off a midweek menu (Ham Hock and Pork chop) which were both superb. Not cheap but worth every penny!

Excellent food but rather a long wait (60 mins from arrival) till we got our main course with only olives (a little too strong on the chilli flavour) to keep us going. Is there blue badge parking closer to the entrance than the car park up the hill? Would still come again though would avoid perfectly understandable no-fish Mondays.

Lovely pub, very welcoming, friendly and attentive hosts. Great menu and found it so hard to choose because of all the delicious choices, great food and good value, had a really lovely dining experience and would go back for food and a drink if in the area.

Lovely pub with a nice feel to it. Good food, if not especially cheap (but then this is north Norfolk!). Nice staff, but service a bit erratic (a drinks order got missed). Felt a bit like many of them were students on summer jobs and nobody really taking charge. But overall, we’d go back.

Came here with my mum and boyfriend. It’s such a lovely spot! You can tell they take real pride in providing good food and drink. We are all vegan and they catered for us and checked with the chef etc which we really appreciated. They use local produce and the cocktails are so good! We had the Stiffkey Marsh cocktail which was divine. Will definitely be back :)

Fanasgi old PROPER boozer. Ambience is so relaxed but with a real buzz to the place. All the meals we had were spot on!!
