Authentic Portuguese food. Piri Piri chicken was perfectly flavoured and the finishing sauce had the right amount of spice. Cod cake were flavourful and flakey. Franchensina was delicious just wish the sauce was a tad thicker

Good option for a last minute reservation. The service was attentive and did not feel rushed at all. The food was decent. The Francesinha was very tasty but very little steak which was the best part. The egg was a bit too well done and would be better if requested sunny side up. The burger was solid but a bit dry. The olives were bitter and tasteless. The croquette I would order again for sure, very tasty! All in all a good experience.

Service was attentive without being stuffy and the entire experience felt warm and welcoming. The food was absolutely incredible. I came here to celebrate a new job with my family, who are Portuguese and travel to Portugal twice a year, and we all agreed this was the best Portuguese meal we've ever had. I ordered the piri piri chicken, which was packed with flavour and incredibly moist. We also had the shrimp turnovers, which instantly reminded me of a treasured family recipe from my partner's grandmother. My cocktail was just as impressive, refreshing, balanced and the perfect complement to the meal. Saying I'll be back is an understatement. This has easily become one of my favourite restaurants and I can't wait to return.

I took my partner back here for her birthday because the first time we came the food was absolutely outstanding. I asked for subtle small birthday celebration for her and the staff delivered tenfold. Appreciate everyone, from the front and to the back.

This is such a gem in the neighborhood. Food is always excellent and their wine and beer selection is fantastic. Great little piece of Portugal on College!

Amazing food and great customer service! The Francesinha was absolutely delicious and is a must-try. Everything was fresh, flavorful, and well prepared. The staff was friendly, attentive, and made our experience even better. Highly recommend Taberna Nacional, and I can’t wait to come back! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Was very excited to try out Taberna, but was disappointed with the lack of Portuguese items on the menu as well as the beverage selections. What threw me off the most was being recommended by the server that the best entree was the Bolognese….. in a Portuguese restaurant. Probably won’t return.
