Confession: I was never into sushi—raw fish just wasn’t my thing. But @takumiwayne changed the game! 🍣 . With fish straight from Japan, their sushi, sashimi, & mains are next level. Everything was so good, I’d skip the edamame just to save room! Don’t believe me? Try it yourself and thank me later! 🙌 . . . . #wayne #philly #phillyfoodie #phillyfoodies #shautiapproved #eeeeeats #sushilover #sushilovers #wayneeats #phillyburbs #phillyphilly #bestsushiinphilly #supportlocal #bestofphilly #phillyeats #sushiinphilly

Maybe if was an off night but the service was really bad. We should have left in the 30 minutes waiting for the server to come get our drink orders. The food was good but not a good value. I’m not sure we’ll be back.

Server almost spilled 2 bowls of hot miso on me as she leaned over to put down a salad - the tray was right up behind my neck and was spilling onto the tray she was holding. Was put in a table next to one that was completely filthy - explosion of rice everywhere on top of the table , on the bench, on the floor. There were so many other tables we could have been placed in for our group of 5. Our table also had some sticky stuff on the table, a wet chair that had food on it and a missing setting. Food was ok - presentation was lack luster - yellowtail jalapeno was razor thin. Whisky sour was bleh and unfinished but waitress didn't bother to ask if anything was wrong. Decor of this place had tacky fake flowers, blinking lights. Not a great experience. Over 1/2 empty on a Saturday night - no wonder.

Attentive staff, pleasant ambience and everything we ordered arrived quickly. The food all looked and tasted delicious and the prices were reasonable. It was our first visit-our son just moved to Wayne-and we’ll definitely be back!

I like the sushi roll, but other food doesn’t taste that good, the price is relatively high.
Takumi Bistro & BarRespondió el 22 de mayo de 2026
Thank you for trying our sushi roll and for the honest feedback. We are glad you enjoyed the roll, and we are sorry the other dishes and the price did not meet your expectations. Please give us another chance to try other food. Our restaurant also offers lunch special(Mon to Fri 11:30-3pm) and happy hour (Mon-Thurs 4-6pm). These are highly recommend, we would be happy to see you back!

The seafood curry sauce is very good, the Brussels sprouts very good as not sweet like other restaurants, wagu fried rice was awesome also; noise level was alright, space was not crowded, and service was very good.

Thank you for the kind review! We're so glad you enjoyed the seafood curry, Brussels sprouts, and wagyu fried rice. We appreciate that you noticed the comfortable noise level, open space, and attentive service. We hope to welcome you back soon.
