Delicious Greek food. Fresh and flavorful. The service was incredible. George was helpful and made fabulous suggestions. Please save room for dessert. Vanilla Greek yogurt with honey and nuts and cinnamon plus philo dough YES!

If you’re craving a Greek night out that actually delivers, put Taverna at the top of your list. From the second you walk in, the room hums with energy...warm, lively, and instantly transportive. Between the shared bar with Nizuc next door and the breezy Mediterranean color palette, you feel like your evening just leveled up. The menu hits fast and strong. The spanakopita rolls are a must-order...crispy, golden, and packed with flavor, with cool tzatziki on the side that seals the deal. Absolute standout. For mains, both the pork souvlaki with crispy fries and the grilled lamb with roasted lemon potatoes delivered big flavor and serious comfort. Those lemon potatoes? Bright, punchy, and completely addictive. Portions are generous, but not heavy...exactly what you want. Service was dialed in...attentive, smooth, never intrusive. And dessert? Warm, flaky baklava dripping with honey and nuts. No notes. Just yes. Taverna may not be in our immediate neighborhood, but it’s officially in our regular rotation now. Worth the walk. Worth the hype. Worth a repeat visit...many times over.

Customer service: 10/5- I somehow goofed and made my reservation for the wrong week- this was so unlike me but the host/manager was so incredibly kind and accomodating and seated us right away. Our server Paul was also amazing, and every course was well timed. Food: 4.5/5 - there were a few very minor hiccups but still amazing food overall. The proteins were INCREDIBLE - we had the Biftekia to start: greek-style beef, lamb & veal meatballs with herbs & spices with tzatziki (hold the tzatziki) $15- SO flavorful! The sauce was also to die for. Steak Kebab Platter- $28 mediterranean salad, pita bread, tzatziki with choice of rice pilaf or hand-cut fries Perfectly medium rare cooked steak, incredibly flavorful tzatziki, generous portion, hot crispy fries. The side salad was short on seasoning but once we added olive oil and salt from the table it was divine. Lamb Chops mediterranean salad, lemon potatoes, pita bread $39- best lamb I may have ever had- same issue with the salad also improved with table oil and salt. Potatos were a pass but the lamb was DIVINE Greek yogurt for dessert- $10 generous portion I opted for preserved cherries instead of honey and walnuts and it was so so good Drinks: Chrischoou, Vinomeno- a delicious fruity light red wine! Restrooms were clean and the restaurant was accessible! The kitchen and our server Paul was very accomodating towards my dining companion’s food allergies We will certainly be back!

A friend and I had a late lunch here and the staff member who greeted me (I arrived first) was gracious and very helpful. We weren't rushed at all, and when we were served our food, we were so pleased by everything we had ordered. I asked if I could have a little more salad with my souvlaki platter in place of either the rice or potatoes that ordinarily come with it, and that was no problem at all. I definitely will recommend Taverna by Gyro Project to friends, and expect to return again.
