Temaki is a distinctive Japanese-inspired restaurant concept, known for specialising in hand-rolled sushi (temaki) and offering an intimate, chef-centric dining experience.
Rather than conventional sushi plates, it centred around freshly made handrolls — rice, premium fish, vegetables and other ingredients wrapped in crisp nori that guests could eat with their hands.
The restaurant featured a minimalist, almost kappo-style setup with a counter facing the open kitchen on the ground floor. On the lower ground floor there are few dining tables and also a sushi counter.
Chefs prepared each handroll to order right in front of guests, engaging with them about ingredients and techniques, making the meal both social and educational.
Alongside temaki, there were small plates such as karaage, sashimi and other Japanese small dishes.
Drinks included sake, Japanese beer, wine and crafted cocktails with Japanese twists to be enjoyed in a relaxed but refined atmosphere.

Excellent food and ambience. Chef Mas (?) was very friendly and we enjoyed chatting to him to learn about the different hand rolls. Theo the head server was also very good and attentive to detail.

One of the best restaurants me and my girlfriend have been too, temaki was a really great place fantastic food , spectacular service and 10/10 experience, would definitely recommend.

We absolutely loved our lunch at Temaki. I’m a vegetarian and my husband eats everything. The chef made crispy rice with avocado for me- was seriously the best crispy rice I’ve ever had! I complemented the food and he sent over grilled eggplant. All of the food was so delicious - service is perfect. We loved sitting at the ground floor counter to watch food being prepared. Highly recommend.

My friends and I dined here on Saturday night. It was a perfect evening! The staff took really good care of us - Marlon, Binshi & Theo :) The expanded menu is so well curated and every dish was delicious! Every dish well presented and full of flavour. We couldn’t decide which was our favourite but absolutely loved the wagyu, yellowtail and the crispy rice! The desserts were delicious too! We. Enjoyed every flavour of the mochi. Who thought of the baked cookie? 👌🏽A perfect cookie and dessert choice. The people on the table next to us were comparing the quality to the food they had in Japan and saying how it was wow for London! We really enjoyed the spicy margaritas 👌🏽 We couldn’t get enough of this place and will definitely be back for more. Thank you Temaki!

I was a regular at Temaki in Brixton and have finally been able to follow them to Oxford Circus. The food was just as good, perhaps better. And although the service was a little slow initially (we arrived immediately at opening and they needed a little time for the cooked elements) it was great to speak to the proprietor and here more of what they have been doing, what is on his mind. He was also kind enough to allow us to sample a few other bits. Excellent meal - thank you!

Food was fantastic and the cocktail I had was amazing. We loved the seasoning and discreet service. Unfortunately there was quite a few food items unavailable and a huge chunk of cocktails/ drinks.
