We are a working family farm that offers country quiet and rural beauty, along with sophisticated dining and unparalleled comfort.

Peace Hill Farm, owned by writer and historian Susan Wise Bauer, is a hundred-acre family farm that raises rare Leicester Longwool sheep, Angora goats, ducks, and chickens.

Our Afternoon Tea & Light Lunch offers you soup, finger sandwiches, sweets, scones, and pastries--plus tea or coffee, of course, along with a full wine list. Linger as long as you like, looking out over working farmland and sheep pastures; add a farm tour with our compliments; eat indoors or out (in nice weather, under the trees; in colder months, in front of the fireplace). Stay as long as you like, breathe deep, and enjoy.

Afterwards, browse our farm store! We produce fiber (fleeces, rovings, and beautifully finished yarns) plus lambs, kids, and free-range duck and chicken eggs.

What an idyllic spot to have tea! Peace Hill was a lovely respite from the noise and bustle of Williamsburg. The gluten free menu was a plus too! We’ll be sure to return.

Our server Louise was very kind and sweet to me and my wife! The English Tea was outstanding, and Peace Hill Farm is that...so Peaceful! We really enjoyed our brief time there and hope to come back again!

We enjoyed our tea on Mother’s Day along with all of the food which included roasted red pepper soup, cucumber and egg sandwiches, and of course all of the wonderful sweets ! I would add providing a lemonade or apple juice to the menu for a children option instead of tea but overall our experience was lovely ! Your home and farm is beautiful and very serene ! Kim

We went here for an afternoon tea and then we walked around the farm. What a delightful afternoon and wonderful mix of tea and farm animals! The tea was delightful with delicious sandwiches and pastries. We had the room to ourselves and it was very peaceful and lovely. Then we walked around and saw the animals. I had no idea the property was that big. And around every corner was another beautiful spot. If you go for tea or lunch, you have to walk the paths and see the goats, cows, chickens, and pigs. It was like the animals were entertaining us with their antics and cuteness. There’s a lovely pond and also the main home has beautiful grounds too. We were greeted by the friendly dogs there. Would love to go back for all seasons. It was a whimsical afternoon, and exceeded my expectations

If you have not been for afternoon tea, you are missing a treat. It’s such a calm and peaceful location with gorgeous views. Tea is perfect with a great choice of sandwiches and desserts! Louise is the perfect host!
