Make it a day to remember. From birthdays and anniversaries to professional milestones, we aim to make every gathering special at The Capital Grille. Open seven days a week, The Capital Grille is best known for our expertly prepared steaks, which are dry aged in house for 18 to 24 days and then hand-cut by our restaurant's on-premise butcher. The Capital Grille's wine list features more than 350 selections, and its floor-to-ceiling wine kiosk regularly houses 3,500 - 5,000 bottles. Reservations are recommended but not required. My reservation was for the beginning of the dining service. When I arrived, the restaurant was empty. Instead of seating me in a nice booth, the greeter wanted to seat me at the very back of the restaurant near the kitchen. I asked for a better seating placement, and it was granted, but being initially taken to the back of the restaurant when the dining room was empty, detracted from the overall experience.

I am a "regular/repeat" customer who lives a block away. I'd made a reservation for 7 and let them know we were celebrating 3 birthdays. The reservation was for 6pm and the restaurant was moderately full when we arrived. Our server was knowledgeable and every eager to help us, but somewhere along the say there were numerous break downs in communication. One of us got a filet with two lobster tails. One of the tails was undercooked; they provided a new tail, no problem. One of us had a bone in filet, medium rare, that positively blue after the first outside bits. Even the kids' "buttered noodles" plate came without, well, the butter! I'm used to a flawless meal and service here, and there was just too many glitches for me. Kind of a bummer, but appreciated the birthday results.

Went here for the first time for my 37th birthday dinner with friends. In which all of my friends have been here before except for me, the experience was not good for me. We are all very successful career women however the waiter made a statement that this restaurant was not a buffet. Remind you none of us insisted the restaurant was so we were confused as to why he said this. When we asked why was this said to us, the waiter tried to play it off and laugh saying he was referring to some restaurant down the street.. yea didn’t make since at all as that had nothing to do with us. Also, my steak did not have any seasoning at all. Although I enjoyed myself this is not a restaurant that I will have to visit again.

A Customer choked on his food (Valentine's Day). They (customers) had to perform the Heimlich maneuver. And 911 was called. No help for the staff! Not even a thank you from the restaurant. Very disappointing!

The lobster salad was exceptional. When I ordered it I thought, lobster salad, it'll be light, it'll be fine, but WOW! -- this salad really pops! Salty, sweet, pungent, tart, it ticks all the right boxes. It's fresh and refreshing and interesting. There isn't a single component that doesn't belong or doesn't serve it's purpose. I never thought a salad would be something I would want to come back for, but I definitely would.

Birthday and Valentine lunch. Ordered the Lobster Salad… ask for dressing on the side. Salad came drenched in dressing. The lobster had a slimy texture. First time I’ve had to return due to quality , taste and order not coming out as asked . I sent back for my go to burger … which was great as usual . But my the time my burger came my husband was finished eating. Kind of took a little glow out of the lunch.

Food was horrendous, service was mediocre given all of the staff running around like crazy and the deafening noise coming from the kitchen. Easily the worst Capital Grill in the entire country. Will not be back.

Food is always incredible. Service sets it apart from going just anywhere. Everything is what we've grown to expect from this restaurant. Good vibe, great food, excellent service, knowledgeable staff. Would be better with more than 1 option for N/A beers though...
