Went for date night, Haley made our drinks so lovely, the food was delicious. Definitely worth the time it took to get it, but I do think things are a little on the pricier end. For $20 I expected to have a bit of fish to take home but it was only enough to finish at the table (with the other sides)

A lovely place but really slow service We have wanted to try this place for years since we drive by it a lot. It has a charming spot in between the east and west bound lanes of Eau Gallie on the mainland side of the causeway. It is in the Eau Gallie downtown area on the south side of the shoppes in the middle of the road. Parking can be difficult to find. There is street parking and a parking lot to the west of it (more toward US-1). It has outdoor and indoor seating. The indoor is 2 rooms with 1 big table in the center, bar seating and about 7 other tables of 4 seaters or less. The outdoor seating is on both sides of the restaurant. Their menu is both American and Irish with Burgers and cottage pies and many choices for drinks. The menu is found on your phone using the qr code on the table. There was a musician in the outdoor space closer to the entrance. We sat in the outdoor space to the rear. Unfortunately, it was a little chilly and the very nice waitress could not get the heater to work. The outdoor seating on that side was picnic benches with limited lighting at night. We, apparently, picked a night that they had a large party and limited wait staff. The waitress was very nice and kept apologizing for the lateness of the food. We ended up waiting 1 hour and 25 minutes for our meals to come out. The food was delicious and well worth going for that but choose a day when big parties are not there or try to time it so you order before they do. Overall, the waitress was wonderful, they have great food but it was a REALLY long wait from order to delivery. Choose your visit timing wisely.

My husband and I visited The Cottage with our daughter and son-in-law. Our daughter had told us about the restaurant and how much she had enjoyed it. We chose to sit outside on the patio because the weather was nice and we liked the ambience. Our waitress was very accommodating and friendly. She gave us suggestions on drinks and checked with us often. We all ordered different entrees for dinner and everyone was very pleased with their choices. The food was well prepared and tasted delicious. We will definitely be back! Highly recommend.

It was quite disappointing. We wanted to try it out and stay for trivia. The acclaimed roast beef sandwich was not available which was one of the things we really wanted to try. We were also told there was no cheesecake. My burger was ordered medium and came very well done....similar to a hickey puck. Although the habanero jam was very good. When it came to dessert, no only were we were told there was no cheesecake but no desserts at all. For the trivia...let me just say that we found Squid Lips Trivia MC much more fun and inviting. Sorry....won't be back and to be honest, the 4 of us who visited are not very picky people. The waitress did a good job considering she had to cover most of the tables and the bar.

Seemed unorganized for 5 pm on a Friday and confirmed by every wait staff telling everyone they seated that they were short staffed. Food was coconut shrimp for app and the haddock fish and chips; both were frozen fish stick quality from a Sams or Costco. I had better taste and quantity (2 large fresh fried filets), from Culvers (fast-food) a week prior. We Won't be going back.
