The Delta is a restaurant and cocktail bar in Chicago’s Wicker Park neighborhood that is an ode to the food, beverage, and culture of the Mississippi Delta region. The Mississippi Delta region is widely known for beginning in the lobby of the Peabody Hotel in Memphis, Tennessee, and stretches due south -- ending at Catfish Row in Vicksburg, Mississippi.

We had a pleasant experience. Drinks are good and strong. I’ve been here a few times and the food can be a little inconsistent. There is a bar in the front so it’s loud and you may not be able to hear the person you are with. Despite that I think this place is worth visiting and it’s an enjoyable spot.

I had both of the breakfast burgers and I’ll give them a seven out of 10, but the unlimited mimosas had me sitting on my butt

The music was the best part of the establishment. We had a 1:30 reservation and didn’t get seated until 1:50. The table was not served at the same time. We all were served our food at different times. We were seated in the back area that reminded me of an out house.

I had a party of 10 and everybody order something different. I had no complaints at that Table. Which is rare everything was on point I had to hoping child nice and spicy I had side order greens very good try to bread pudding Loved it.

Pretty good experience. Music was great, food was great. We did the Sunday brunch family for 2 special with bottomless mimosas everything was amazing, and the drinks kept coming! Glad we did come when they first opened about an hour into dining it starts to get really packed. Reservations is a must!

Went for early dinner with a girlfriend on a Saturday . We were greeted right away and seated a few minutes later. My friend ordered the catfish, greens and cornbread I ordered the bo jangles chicken & biscuits and collard greens Neither of us liked our meals. The catfish was greasy and undercooked. The greens had more turkey than greens. The chicken & biscuits were dry and tasteless.The marmalade sauce was not my favorite. Only one dessert option- bread pudding. It was made with cherries instead of raisins. It too, was dry. The service was ok. Waitress was not able to answer a couple of our questions but did go back to find the answer.. Overall, not a place I would patronize again.

I really like the set up and our waitress, Allison was great. But, they were out of so many things, food and liquor. To the point where they had to tell us what they DID have. One of the cooks was eating burgers and fries while cooking food for others. The music was a little on the younger side, but the guest were 40+. I think they have potential to be great. The menu sounds good. But again, we didn’t eat because they were out.

We tried a few different food items and YUM! The berry French toast was as you’d expect, soft and sweet. So good! The tamales were pretty good. I preferred without the salsa provided but my husband liked it better with salsa. I had delta breakfast sammich and that was delish and filling. Served with hash brown potatoes which I don’t eat. Only thing is the dj starts at 2pm on Saturday, which is cool, but we met up with someone we hadn’t seen in a while and it’s hard to catch up over extremely loud music lol Thta was our mistake though. Fun vibe l, if you didn’t go there to talk, for sure.

The ambiance was nice and intimate, perfect for a Valentine's dinner. However, the food was okay. It wasn't worth the price tag. The fried shrimp wasn't thoroughly battered, the prices were overpriced, and the server made a mix-up, giving us someone else food at first. The server, not my waitress, because it was a team effort. My waiter was prompt and delivered good service. I was told the shrimp was on the house due to the wait, but I still was charged. Overall, for three drinks, The couple's Valentine dinners and shrimp. It came out to $165
