Service was very good. The food was nice but a very limited menu and unfortunately we were not informed that there would be no steak available until we sat down to order. This was on the menu. Also a mistake on the bill but this was rectified Overall experience was nice but need more options for main courses

We have been before and again it did not disappoint. Food was amazing. I had Katsu curry and partner had Roast Turkey and trimmings. Crumble and sticky toffee were absolute yum! We had a table in the main hall which was lovely and cosy as fire was on, the ambience was good also. Service was slighlty slow but hosts were super busy yet remain friendly and cheerful throughout. My husband and I came across The Gamekeeper whilst we were away for the weekend. We wasn't really expecting much with it being a pub, but we were pleasantly surprised, it was a stunning place and the service was second to none, the food was outstanding, we both had steak and it was the best steak we have ever had. We highly recommend The Gamekeeper

The young dark haired lady who served us was awesome and the food was lovely and the sav blanc wine was chilled and perfect!! We were sat in the hall which was a nice setting our table felt like a hobbit table 😂🤷🏻‍♂️ but we didn’t mind overall we loved our visit and will be coming back very soon xxx Ps the crumble was spot on too!! 👌🏼

Lovely and cozy pub/restaurant, log fires, soft comfortable chairs for lounging by the fire. Good beer and great food. What more could you ask for.
