The Grill is a great local restaurant celebrating the fantastic produce that Sussex and the surrounding counties are famed for.

Contemporary in design, the grill offers a relaxing ambiance. You are invited to while away the evening enjoying great company, good wines and a superb culinary experience with friendly, attentive and efficient service.

High quality, where possible locally or regionally sourced ingredients, we use only British beef breeds such as Aberdeen Angus, South Devon or Hereford for our steaks, as where our fish is brought in from the best day boat catches along the Kent and Sussex coast. These are the stars on our menu - great cuts of meat and the freshest seafood, char-grilled to perfection to retain their natural juices, keeping them rich and succulent in flavour.

We arrived on time for a 1pm lunch and were met by our waitress, she showed us to the table, we had requested a round table and that's what we got with a wonderful full length window next to us. The restaurant was empty! But apparently they don't usually do Saturday lunch times!! (We felt a little special). The food was really good and although we were the only ones there we didn't feel rushed at all. Overall we had a lovely time, many thanks "The Grill" ...

We wanted a place with good food, ambiance and something special. Wanting Al A Carte. We decided on The Grill after seeing its impressive online menu, which excited and appealed. The online system was easy to book so we headed off to the train station as its in the next town. When we got there we found the online photos were done by a genius because the whole ambiance they gave off was not present. It was a hotel breakfast area which converts for evening meals. We were handed a single large sheet which was the menu (A3 size). The Menu was different to the one online, all burgers, pizzas and sandwiches. When I asked about the online menu I was told it was out of date by over a year, no manager offered an apology. We left and went elsewhere.

Lovely lunch - the buffet style starters, desserts and cheese board were a great idea and had some great choices. Un-rushed and pleasant atmosphere and service was excellent.

Booked this for mother's day expecting a proper menu. I'd called prior to coming as advised by TopTable and was not told that there would only be a buffet at £25 a head. Ruined my mother's surprise. This is supposed to one of the better restaurants in Crawley - shocking!

As always it in nice to see very good customer service - they keep that on a high level and always present. Food was very good, service too. I would highly recommend - I am trying to orgenise friend together for one evening to come for a meal - very good food and I am a foodie :o)

I took a date with me to The Grill on Friday 4th January 2013 and whilst a special occasion for myself, we both left feeling as if we had been given a culinary treat. The food was presented in style, extremely sumptuous and we were catered for in a very friendly yet professional manner. I have to nod particular appreciation to The Grill for the way in which they treated me as I have a nut and peanut allergy. The Head Chef came out to go through the menu with me personally to describe how certain dishes may have nut traces. He went further to make a dessert from scratch and not on the menu to ensure no nuts were present. It is this level of service and genuine care for his customers that make this restaurant one to remember in the future.
