The Lobo is without a doubt, one of the coolest places to drink and be (very) merry in Sydney.
Inspired by Julio Lobo, the last Cuban sugar baron, we are a stylish and charming bar that is all about rum, good vibes and high-quality cocktails.
Tucked away on Clarence Street in the CBD, you’ll find The Lobo located in a basement where the cocktails are creative, fresh and mostly rum-based. Our rum selection is 300-bottles strong and the cocktail list goes perfectly alongside. Important note, we are are cocktail & rum bar and therefore do not have food/dining available.
If all this sounds up your alley, grab your crew and head to The Lobo. It’s a cosy and intimate spot though, so reservations are recommended to avoid disappointment. No minors permitted.

We are a Cuban inspired rum and cocktail bar. We boast a proud collection of 300 rums from all over the world, and our in-house cocktail list focuses around letting the rum shine. Our ambience can be described as classy, energetic, fun & romantic. We pride ourselves on our cocktails and craft beers.

Lobo is suitable for cocktail style functions of up to 100 people. For a regular trading day (Tues-Sun), you'd need to start before we open at 5pm and you'd be welcome to stay on once we open to the public. Exclusive use on other nights is on a case-by-case basis. All exclusive hires require a min spend + a 10% service charge. Damage bonds apply.

We just want to give a special shout-out to Bo who gave EXCEPTIONAL service and was so kind, helpful and accommodating for our larger group and my birthday all night. This place is amazing, the drinks and ambiance are exceptional, and it’s extremely queer-friendly and inclusive which is endlessly comforting. We’ll not only be back again, we’ll be recommending The Lobo to everyone and we’ll be crossing our fingers that Bo is the one serving us again :)

Almost no food available. Menu in website was not available except for only one item. We booked based on the menu. So we had to find food elsewhere at short notice. Shame.

Everything was great. Only drawback was you guys are currently re-doing your food menu so we couldn't order any and ended up leaving after just one drink to get something to eat. Also, loved the fact you guys were so kind about us bringing a bottle of wine and putting it in the fridge for us. Great vibes, very friendly service and great cocktail menu. Looking forward to the food!

Overall an amazing experience! I think the empanadas were a tiny bit overpriced ($15 for 4 small ones; I generally wouldn't pay $4 for a single empanada that size), but they were still good. Banana chips were awesome! The drinks were delicious and the service very friendly and attentive. Music seemed to keep getting louder, which made it very hard to hear conversations. Other than that, would 100% go again! Great vibes all around

The LoBo bar is a real find - hidden away on Clarence Street, if you are looking for a cool, laid-back bar to meet up with friends, and yearn for some Cuban spice - this is the place for you. The bar staff are friendly and professional. The atmosphere is relaxed and intimate. One thing though: you need to book a table to get in after 10.30pm.

I personally love this place for dates, has a warm and cozy vibe, great cocktails and very friendly staff. always a good time. My last booking was on Friday which is quite a busy night, so the two hour booking limit does actually happen and you might have to move tables or sit at the bar, otherwise definitely recommend and will go again.

Was forced to have a Tab created as I had a booking of 20 people. When booking, it states minimum $30 per person spend which would have equated to $600. However I was only able to close off the tab when it nearly hit $1000.

Lobo has a nice atmosphere- went for a date night with my husband. Ww got a nice table, as we pre booked so was a nice spot. The food menu is very limited- but what we did get was yummy. We could have stayed longer if they had more food to offer. The cocktails are amazing! 🍸 we will be coming back for sure.

I am not sure where do we start . We had booking at 8:30 and then we went there. We were asked by the security guy that someone will assist us . We stood up there for awhile thinking that someone will assist us to table . We were completely ignored . We found a staff who was on a front desk near the bar, walked towards her and asked her about our reservation. She takes us to the table and says some other couple will join us on the same table. Weird . Still we didn’t have any issues. The same staff comes to take our order and as the time we ordered our drinks she just turns around and walks off. We hadn’t even order our food . I understand it is busy weekend but that doesn’t mean the staff can be rude and in so much hurry that they can’t even take the order for food. We left as soon as we finished the drinks. Never had such experience before . We felt completely ignored. Will definitely not recommend this place.

Didn't have any food but it looks fantastic. Drinks were fantastic and if you don't know what to get, the servers were more than happy to help pick out some of their favourites for you. Overall, fantastic. Definitely coming to visit again

Superb cocktails in a most divine setting; I feel like I could be in Cuba. The sour pina colada is fabulous, and the plantain chips are a nice touch. Excellent staff.

It was my second time at the lobo and it did not disappoint. The drinks were amazing!! The service was on point, especially our waiter Sam, he gave us awesome recommendations that we all enjoyed. It can be a bit loud but overall had a nice ambiance.
