Nestled in the heart of the countryside our pub has been at the centre of village life for generations. With its timeless charm, roaring fire and welcoming atmosphere, its the perfect place to relax and feel at home. This is a lovely pub with good food and a nice atmosphere. However the minimum tip on the machine at 15% is high and American levels. 10% would be more acceptable. I know you can refuse but would rather not.

Really liked that you can choose a smaller meal if you want. Good menu lots of choice. Fish pie was amazing!

Good choice of menu, excellent quality food which is locally sourced where possible and all served by attentive employees. Always a reliable venue for either an evening meal or for that special occasion.

Absolutely fantastic! Booked a table for 2, arrived late but they were so welcoming to us. The roast beef was the best roast we have ever eaten out. Highly recommended

We visited for a family Sunday roast and booked online through OpenTable. The menu was varied, but in the end we all opted for roast beef. It was accompanied by a variety of tasty and colourful vegetables and a gloriously puffy Yorkshire pudding. Gravy served separately in gravy boats (bonus mark!). The beef itself was wonderful. Sometimes a tender joint lacks flavour and vice versa, but on this occasion both were achieved. Bravo! We chose different desserts - I can personally verify that the salted pistachio semifreddo was superb. Everyone else left similarly clean plates. Everyone who served us was friendly and helpful - we felt that we were genuinely welcome, and look forward to repeating the experience before too long.
