Our large, airy Dining Room lends itself to a relaxed dining experience, perfect for enjoying a leisurely meal. With full table service, we pride ourselves on delivering a friendly yet professional experience, ensuring every guest feels well looked after from the moment they arrive.

We are passionate about serving excellent quality produce, all prepared and cooked onsite, and brought directly to your table with care. Our menu reflects this and is thoughtfully put together using as many locally sourced and artisan ingredients as possible. By working closely with producers on our doorstep, we aim to showcase the very best of what the region has to offer while ensuring there is something to suit every taste.

The Dining Room is open daily from midday until 9pm, offering plenty of time to relax and enjoy your meal, with the exception of Sundays when we close earlier at 4pm.

This is a lovely venue for a midweek lunch with family or friends or a date night in the dining room. Fabulous seasonal menu, delicious and beautifully presented. A lovely place we return to time and again.

I have been going to the Milk House for a number of years now, we found it by chance when visiting the nearby castle. We have returned a number of times because the food is outstanding! However, we went yesterday (11/10/26) and spent over £100 for 2 x adults and 2 x kids meals. I ordered my son the halloumi and hash browns with a side of sweet potato fries but when the meal came up they had the halloumi and sweet potato fries on it, not the has browns which he was really looking forward too. I told the waitress who didn’t seem too bothered but went to speak with the kitchen and then came back and said no they thought we had swapped them and refused to bring any out unless we went up to the till to pay for them. I mean, it was a kids hash brown! We ordered the roast which was nice and asked for horse radish but ended up waiting over five minutes for them to come out and then only brought 1 small dish out, no where near enough for the 4 adults having the roast. I then had to get up and find someone else to go and get us a few more, all the time whilst my food was getting cold! I will go back again, maybe it was just a bad day and I would always recommend it. But yeah on this occasion, not very happy!

Over priced Sunday food, fish n chips was so small I thought they had sent a child's portion. £5 for a thimble of chips.

We’ve been there twice in the last two weeks. The food was good, and the service was okay. But why only one star? The restrooms. The men's room was absolutely filthy—disgusting and completely unacceptable. The second time we visited, the restrooms were completely flooded; there was no toilet paper—or rather, it was lying in the muck on the floor. The first time, there was actually a "log" left on the toilet bowl by a previous user.
