The Shambles is an independent, award winning neighbourhood café and wine bar. Situated in the iconic Market Cross House - known for its famous lean - it rubs shoulders with Windsor Castle and is perfectly located for catch-ups, meetings, gatherings and private hires.

Run by a husband and wife duo, it offers a curated range of tasty treats ranging from top notch coffee, brunch and lunch, a hand selected natural wine list, local beers, seasonal cocktails and an all day menu of snacks and light bites to pair perfectly with the drinks offering. Quaint and quirky venue very close to the castle. Absolutely delicious food, coffee and cocktails. Very friendly and accommodating service, will definitely return.

I had the home made butter beans on sourdough toast with chorizo and an egg on top. Great balance of flavours, good portion.

Disappointed with cocktails on offer as majority were gin based; not great for non-gin drinkers. Food selection very limited and houmous already sold out by start of evening service. Olives nice but crisps just served in large package; why not serve in a nice bowl? Friendly staff and quite nice atmosphere. Could be so much better. If you are just after a glass of wine or gin based cocktail, this is your place. Otherwise probably not.
