The Wilmot at Primus Hotel - Sydney
Was really impressed with the new Winter menu, presentation was beautiful and tasted amazing!
This is my favourite place to eat in the CBD. I have been there 3 times now and it never disappoints.
The service is excellent along with the food. I will be going back on my next trip to the City.
Great food, great service. Totally worth the price you paid, which is not that much at all considering the quality you get. Highly recommended!
Stunning art decor building, very reasonable price A bit hard to find as there is no hotel signage on the street
Great food and service, very nice venue would recommend.
The staff are professional, service a high standard.
The food is exceptional
Great value dinner menu, though the courses started coming out a little quickly. Once we'd spoken to the right waitstaff, the service was more spread out. Food was excellent. Even the house wine was quite reasonable.
Beautifully presented food which was delicious. The service was extremely good and I never had to ask for anything. Wonderful experience in all and will be back.
A lovely meal, as always, in as beautifully restored Art Deco space. The menu range for main courses is small but they are delicious and attractively presented. The service is excellent.
Food was average. Some highlight and lowlights. Dessert options were dull and not very tasty. Overall, for a 4 course meal, it felt very rushed as there was no or minimal break b/n courses
Cannot fault this place.
The weak link of the night were the desserts. Very boring and a sad end to a wonderful meal.
We became Club Primus members because we like the hotel so much. Great staff, service and food and building
The food was exceptional & the 3 course set menu was good value for the quality of the food you get
This was the second time that we dined at here and it was just as good as the first time. The service was excellent - one of our group didn't come, so the staff moved us to a nearby table with better seating for 5, at our request. The staff really try to go the extra mile. The food is also very good. We will dine here again.
Friendly staff and good food but a little pricey.
The Art Nouveau building has been wonderfully restored creating a classy fine dining experience. Food beautifully presented and delicious.
Seriously the best fish I have ever had! 5 people for dinner and we were blown away....fantastic in every way.
The food was amazing and served quite quickly.
Great lunchtime set menu.
Quality of food was very good.
The fillet steak was delicious and cooked perfectly! Passionfruit Brulee for dessert was divine.
Service is very friendly and professional.
Nice restaurant decor, very modern, clean and spacious.
We are members of a book club called The Happy Bookers,, so we needed an area where we could discuss the book we had to read whilst having coffee..and the Primus Hotel fitted the bill with a generous seating area...then on to lunch at the Wilmot..a few steps away, where we enjoyed a very good lunch , great food and
good service. The Happy Bookers will be back no doubt about that.
Lovely setting and the waiting staff were attentive and friendly. High tea was different from other places which was ok. I'd go again
Very happy and will dine at Wilmot again and have been telling my friends about Wilmot. Thank you
Somewhere quiet to have your dinner
Forgot my partners birthday request.
Loud roudy drunk table adjacent.
The food at The Wilmot is always outstanding. Menu changes fairly regularly and it never disappoints!
This was our second lunch in a week.
The steak and barramundi were very nice.
It is a nice quiet place with excellent service.
Great location for a business lunch.
Nice quiet restaurant....music is low key and low volume....perfect for conversation at the table.
Pleasant and attentive staff.
Very good food and service.
Pricing is very reasonable.
Afternoon tea was well presented, great selection, delicious and something for everyone.
8 people dinner. Food is enjoyable . the service speed can be improved a bit. Ambience is very nice.
Had a great dining experience. Great service and staff were very attentive .
Loved the food and ambiance and will be back again soon .
We had a wonderful afternoon and High Tea at The Primus.
The two items I would point out:-
The savoury element focuses on seafood (oysters, gravalax), which I absolutely loved, but it may not be for everyone.
We had two children with us (10 and 5) and they were keen to try the high tea but it was hard to do so at full price. I know nobody wants the hotel flooded with kids but it might be a nice idea to put together a kids option like similar hotels do.
Service was fine, overall I'd recommend.
How the Wilmot has escaped the flood of foodies that make up Sydney is inexplicable. The menu is varied and inventive. The food is absolutely fantastic. The surroundings are classy-cool 1920's revivalist.
Go now before the secret gets out!
The food was excellent but while the floor staff were friendly and professional, they were still learning. There was only one vegetarian dish on the menu, which had chilli in it. The staff were reluctant to offer an alternative. Once my wife finally spoke to the kitchen staff, they were only too happy to knock up a vegetarian pasta dish, which was beautiful. At $50 for two courses of excellent food and a not so excellent glass of wine, it's great value. Highly recommended.
We thoroughly enjoyed the friendliness of the staff on duty the night we had our birthday dinner there, especially Manju who was very attentive. The dish I had was nice and spicy, the atmosphere entertaining and enjoyable. The lovely surprise was receiving a special birthday at the end, thank you so much. We are already planning our next visit there.
Hands down best customer service from a our waiter Bhim. Food was amazing. Awesome flavours. Would definitely come back.
Day out with the family in Sydney, great menu with something for everyone.
Good steak and craft beer. Not for special occasion but I will come back for casual dinner.
Great high tea. Food fabulous
