   Best spot on the Peninsula for a good drink and some very tasty food. Red and the team always take great care of us. The GnT and Old Fashioned specials are a treat. And the fried chicken is our favorite. Highly recommended!

   Great dinner with family and friends. Everything was good but the NY steak and the shrimp tacos really stand out. The gin and tonic special and the featured old fashioned were excellent (and very original). Service was very attentive and professional. Best spot in RWC.

   Everything we ate at Timber and Salt was well balanced, on point, and delicious. I adore gnocchi, but am often disappointed by the gnocchi themselves (too firm, too loose, too delicate, too toothsome) or that the accompanying sauce overwhelms them. This was so perfect, the brown butter, the winter squash, the sage…so traditional but extremely well done, so much so that you immediately understood WHY there are versions of this dish everywhere throughout the ages. I was so into my main that I have forgotten what my companions had, so I asked them. Their hamburgers were amazing, say both of them. Many try, but T&S succeeds. I wanted to eat the Brussels sprout appetizer all night, not too oily, not fried to death, and with the cheese under it, it was so goooooood. The buffalo cauliflower was lovely as well, though if you have a blue cheese averse person in your party, ask for the dressing on the side. In the end, there was more for the two blue cheese lovers and they were quite happy about that. We had 5 cocktails, a beer, and a glass of wine. All were great! Bread pudding for desert. It was sliced and deep fried, where it got a slight caramelized crust on all sides without being oily at all, the ice cream made it perfect. I can’t come back to eat fast enough.

   Sunday BBQ was fantastic. Both brisket and pulled pork were excellent and Smokey. BBQ sauce was tangy. Pinto beans aren’t traditional beans but they were good. Potato salad was good. Out of ribs. If that’s what you’re looking for, come early or you can preorder

    The food is consistently good, but is disappointing when chef can not accommodate caramelized onion on burger, said the server. Service this time was awful. The guy keep forgetting either bring a simple side of fries or to check for more drink orders. This is the first time I had such a poor service. Usually the waiting staff are nice and attentive. Disappointing experience.

    Great spot in RWC. The drinks always surprise, the food is very tasty and the staff go the extra mile. I tried their BBQ Sunday special and the brisket was incredible. Best I've had outside of Texas.

    Timber and salt is one of my go to places in Redwood City. Starting with the host, Red, who always remembers us and makes sure that we are well taken care of. The servers are always friendly, and the food is consistently good. It’s just a great place. I also love the good music and cocktails. The menu isn’t large, but that’s not a bad thing. What they do, they do well.

    The food was good but not great. We enjoyed the salmon and the deviled eggs most. The wings were okay, the arancini was very spicy, and the pulled pork sandwich was very bland. My favorite thing of the night was the house made cocktail that night which was a play on a French 75 but with tart cherry. It was fantastic. The atmosphere was definitely more casual than i expected but service was very good

    Tried the Sunday BBQ menu, and it was awesome -everything was delicious. The host, servers, and chef were friendly and accommodated our party. Been here several times, the ambience is always great.

    We went on a Wednesday night. We sat inside due to the cold, but during nice weather the patio in front is really nice. The buffalo cauliflower was flavorful. The burger (which I had served on lettuce without a bun) was very good with the bacon jelly. The burger came with fries that were pretty tasty. My fiancé got the gnocchi which was also very good. It was a lot of food but we managed to finish most of it. The murals on the wall were pretty nice representing Redwood City's past.

    I took a friend for his birthday since he is a huge BBQ fan. He was really impressed with the authentic Carolina brisket and ribs. The pickles and beans were fantastic..my only negative comment is that the cole slaw was lacking crunch. Loved the Sunday night barbecue, perfect after the 49-er win!

    Went to their Barbecue Sunday and was blown away. Had a little of everything. The brisket, pulled pork and ribs are spot on, but the hidden gem is the smoked turkey. It's incredibly good. The hush puppies and pimento cheese also very tasty, perfect as starters. Great drinks and service, as always.

    If I could give the food 10 STARS, I would. We stopped by on a Sunday afternoon after hearing that they would be featuring BBQ and WOW were we impressed. Everything we tried was SPECTACULAR, from the brisket to the ribs, but the real winner was the smoked turkey. It was so moist and flavorful that we took some home to enjoy later. All the sides were spot on and the matching cocktails were a perfect compliment. As alwyas, the staff was professional and full of great recommendations. Eat in, take out... you can't go wrong.

    Went for the new BBQ Sunday menu. The smoked turkey was UNREAL. Never going to look at normal turkey the same again. Also really enjoyed the special cocktails, especially the Bloody Mary with the bacon. If you are really into amazing BBQ, go to Timber and Salt on Sunday!

    I ordered the short rib after seeing a good review for it, and they were not wrong! Normally I’d split a plate with my date but I had to keep this all for myself. Will be back for more asap.

    A great date night at Timber & Salt. We started with the chicken wings, Nashville Spicy, and then continued with our Southern theme, fried chicken and the Barbecue Pork Sandwich. The chef knows his food and flavors. The staff was, as always, professional and attentive. The cocktails could not have been better. We hear they are doing more Barbecue on Sundays... you can bet we will be back!

    1 st time to Timber and Salt perfect midway point to meet our friends from SF . Had a great gin and tonic and the food was very tasty !!!! Great Bar ! Wish there was more seats at the Bar definitely would have stayed and had a nightcap

    Perfect place to go after the movies! Our server had great recommendations and was very attentive. The Shorts Ribs are my new favorite dish and my friend really enjoyed the Salmon. Both were prepared perfectly and with so much flavor. I also definitely recommend their cocktail list. There is something for everyone with unique flavors. We had a great time and would highly recommend.

    Wow!!! Another great meal at Timber & Salt. The new special drinks were amazing and not to be missed. After starting with the cauliflower, the short ribs and pork sandwich were fantastic; the best we've had anywhere. Another guest had the Cobb salad, what did they do to make the turkey so good? As always, we saved room for dessert and the creme brulee was the perfect final chapter to our wonderful night. The staff is always friendly and professional. We feel so welcome. We cannot wait to come back and are already planning our next dinner out at Timber & Salt.
