On the back alley of the hotel, beyond the sparkle of the Avery restaurant, the more adventurous can imbibe against the backdrop of Boise’s oldest Brunswick bar at Tiner’s Alley. My wife and I spent Thanksgiving evening at Tiner's Alley and had a wonderful dining experience! The prixe fixe dinner menu was conscientiously executed, and the food was superb! Additionally, the service was attentive without being overly intrusive, allowing for a quiet, comfortable time together. I highly recommend dining at this establishment!

Excellent service and quality food. It was a little pricey but it was Thanksgiving Day! The ambience was casual and more suited to a casual dinner.

Had a res so seated promptly. Waitress very friendly. Was seated by the fire, by busboy, and requested a move, told no. After 20 minutes first course arrived. Asked to be moved again as we were roasting and ducking the pool cue, which was right up to our head! Waitress moved us happily. First course was fine, nothing spectacular. Second course took over 30 minutes to arrive. Turkey dinner and steak/short rib dinner. Turkey was sub par and mushroom bread pudding was a tiny muffin of mush. Ver disappointed. Steak was tough but short rib was nice and tender. Then another 25 minutes for dessert, which we’d ask to take with us. Overall, I like the spot but meal was in no way worth the huge price, over 220 with 1 cocktail each. Tipped the waitress well as it was a holiday and she was very friendly, but we spent way to much time waiting on food.

Thank you to the manager; she was fabulous and very attentive. We had a birthday in our party; she made it special and moved us to the fireplace as my dad was a little cold.

What a wonderful concept with an entrance off of one of the alleys of downtown Boise! Our waiter, Brandon, was very attentive and knowledgeable. The Fondue Burger was out of this world!! Only complaint...the place was a little dark to read the menu. Our group of 6 really enjoyed Tiners!

Excellent server. Twas a Saturday night, however bar and kitchen seemed slow. Shepherd Pie delicious. A 25% surcharge beginning at six people is too high.

Fantastic food and service. There were eight in our party with ages ranging from 23 to 82 and there was something for everyone. We ordered almost everything on the menu and we were able to pass the food around to share and nothing disappointed. People who felt they wouldn’t like a scotch egg or duck were pleasantly surprised as were the rest of us watching them try new dishes. There was constant attention for our table, drinks never were empty, plates were promptly cleared, and continued orders for drinks/food/deserts were promptly taken and delivered. The staff and food were incredible and we will make sure to return the next time we are in town.

I wanted to really like this place, but the food fell way short of expectations. Food was very salty and my sausage in my bangers and mash was undercooked. the atmosphere was great and reminded me of English pubs I’ve visited, but again food quality was very disappointing.
