   Pedimos el menú de degustación y la experiencia fue accidentada. De repente llegaban 2 platos a la mesa al mismo tiempo, de repente no llegaban. Al terminar nos quedamos con hambre y pedimos unas piezas, al pedir algo que supuestamente ya habíamos comido, la mesera se dio cuenta que les había faltado traernos un plato del menú de degustación. Fue una experiencia muy atropellada.

   Had an absolutely amazing time. We were served by a charming gentleman named Allen who I'd recommend to anyone that goes in. The food was on point, service was on point, and overall it was such an unforgettable experience. We will certainly be going back!

   Our server was excellent—quick, knowledgeable, friendly, attentive. The food was amazing, to say the least. Every penny was worth it. I cannot imagine anyone having anything less than a perfect experience at Uchiko.

    The overall price/value is not in level with other of our experiences. We were 3 people choosing Chef's Tasting 10 course menu of which 6 servings were nigiri. 2 bottles of wine, fine and not pricy. For $800 we do expect more variety and uniqueness. Difficult to hear the intro to each serving do to the energetic/noisy ambience.

    Food was great but we paid $500 for the ten course meal and the pace was very slow and it wasn’t worth it by the fifth course. We were disappointed and tired. But again, food was great and our server was nice.

    Our third visit over the years - it's always my son's choice for a special place on his birthday. It's always been inspired with excellent savory, "talk about it tomorrow" choices. We always do the 10 courses omakase dinner so we can enjoy the experience at the restaurant. The third visit was not the charm for us, I am sorry to say. I am going to caveat this with... it was spring break, it was SXSW.... but we were uninspired this time and the dishes seemed to be too. Out of the 10 courses, we didn't leave talking about it - or wishing we could go there every other week.... nope. it was Uninspired this time. When you spend $500 for 3 people...you hope and wish. I'd love to try it again when it's not so busy...it's definitely the place to be.... Just hope they had a one-off night. But, the wait staff were excellent/superb. You made the night.

    We showed up for Wednesday dinner at 5:45pm. The complimentary valet parking at the door was friendly and easy. We were seated in a booth (a little cramped unfortunately) and enjoyed the sparkling water. Our waiter, Tyler, was very helpful at helping us navigate the overwhelming menu and select items for our dinner. Food was very good - the fish was fresh and wonderful. Unfortunately, at the end of the night, our ordered dessert got lost in the shuffle and we waited half an hour before Tyler corrected the situation. He brought extra sorbet to apologize. Additionally, the restaurant's noise level got so loud that we were yelling just to hear each other. Good food, but noisy.

    Took my father and his wife to celebrate me coming into town from Indiana and surprising him for his 80th birthday. They both loved the whole experience. (Visiting where I use to live I know I had to pick my favorite restaurant, uchiko)

    Every. single. time. Amazing. Stunning food experiences. Felt a bit rushed this time during the chef’s tasting. To the point where we asked to slow it down. They did not. I love the vibe. The experiences are best in class. Cannot wait to return next year.

    We arrived a little early and they were able to seat us. We had the 10 course omakase - all the dishes they served were delicious! We did end up having to wait quite a bit between some courses since their kitchen got slammed by the dinner rush, but they gave us an extra dessert (which was also exceptional) as an apology for the extra wait times. We really enjoyed the yellowtail in the chili sauce (also on the normal menu) and the blue fin tuna. Great experience, would do again!

    Had the chefs tasting. Many items the same as the last time we had it. Wonderful food but the reason we like tastings is to try new items. The prices have gone up a bit, as everywhere.

    Uchiko certainly provides an experience, and is one of the very few high-end restaurants that offers a good variety of vegetarian food without compromising on the taste or experience.

    Really good food and amazing service. We chose to get our own dishes but the server, Dallas, helped us choose things based on our preferences. All the food, protein and veg types were absolutely amazing!!

    Amazing culinary experience. Great flavors and variety. Large menu is a bit overwhelming, but allowing waiter to just order was perfect. Fun restaurant with knowledgeable friendly staff. Note that it is a bit loud due to full room of diners.

    Ryan served us at the wine bar, she ruled, the fish was solid, drinks were flowing. My buddy who hates sushi (dude only eats chicken tenders and cheese burgers—you know the type) even tried some and thought it wasn’t half bad. All around win.

    Couldn’t have asked for a better experience! Arrived and promptly seated by the welcoming hosts. Sat at the sushi bar for the first time and was waited on by David (BOH), Tyler and Tammy (FOH). They all were very kind, knowledgeable and gave wonderful suggestions. I think the anchovy, avocado, madai, and short rib dishes were our favorites. Can’t wait to visit again! Highly recommend!

    Great seating at the sushi bar, excellent suggestions from Larson (sp?) the sushi chef, prompt beverage service, presentation and flavor profiles in the dishes - other worldly. Maybe 20 or more seatings over the last 10 years and have never left unsatisfied or under-impressed with their expertise. Glued on smiles when we left this time too. A great mood lifter, and or venue to suit a celebration. Our “Fat Tuesday” choices – sprouts (always great), bluefin tartare (yes, bam !), avocado nigiri, sake maki, ebi (nice change of pace), gyotoro nigiri (wow !!), hama chili (nice flavor combinations), ko salad (amazing – our fav salad anywhere), hana curry (surprisingly diverse combo), soft shell maki, and banana cake – not your grandmother’s banana bread/cake - what a finish  ! – suggested by the chefs - must try it if you haven’t !, and maybe a little sake…harhar. A great memory to sustain us through Lenten fasting !! (…but man, when it’s over, I’m headin back !)
